So is the place you're applying at a temp service?
I've used temp services (in fact, my current job is permanent but I started as a temp through a service) and they've always treated me right. They WANT you to get employment, they get money from it, so I would not be worried about bothering this woman at all. They're there to help you find something you're comfy with, and that suits you. Plus, every time I went to a new job, everyone there was SUPER nice to me, it was great. I even had one that sent me to another state on their dime for training, so that was a fun experience.
I have nothing but great things to say about temp services, honestly. The job I'm at right now is pure data entry, and it's easy enough that I can listen to audiobooks and podcasts while I work, I don't have to answer any phones, no one bothers me, and I get to dress like I would on the weekend, it's 40 hours a week, and I get weekends off. I wouldn't have gotten in without the agency I went through.
Just be honest with your agent about what you can do and are comfortable with, so they don't stick you in, say, a call center or whatever if you don't like phone work. Be open and talk frankly with the agent. They know people who do temp work will probably have spotty employment history, but they can work around that.
Anyway, good luck, and I hope it works out! Being out of work is fun for like a day, but it gets old real fast lol. And just remember that if they stick you with an assignment you hate, that it won't last forever (and if they offer you permanent work and you hate it, you can decline).

I mentioned it in another post, but I haven't been around much. I just have to say, though, that I LOVE these event items so much. They're stylish and wonderful, moody enough for an edgelord such as myself (lol). Honestly, they probably should have been cash items, but I'm so glad they've been put up as event items.
Thank you guys so much for the awesome items! And again, thank you for the free set. I know it was in error, but as someone with not a whole lot of free time, I appreciate it!
And in fact, let me take another second to thank you guys for all the OTHER free things you give us. I'm barely here, but my inventory is filled with freebies and thank you items, and it's wonderful. As a filthy casual, I can't thank you guys enough for all the hard work you put into the freebies. And obligatory but true, the commons and cash items are also gorgeous, and someday I'll get my hands on more of them!

I haven't had much time to keep up with this site, but I LOVE the event items. Thank you so much, even if it was a mistake, for letting us keep a free set! It's super appreciated.

The post styles in this thread make me jealous, they look so good against the black background. :>

Hell's Kitchen! I'm re-watching season 6, since my husbando wins. Also I just like it when Gordon Ramsey calls people doughnuts.

The Ritual, then right after I did the logical thing and re-watched the Blair Witch Project.

Helllll no my hoodies get washed religiously. Humans sweat, even in winter, especially under the arms so unless you're an alien without pores, get to a washer!
All aliens exempt.

Maybe browse the secondhand stores in your area like Good Will. I know some church's in my locale also do the secondhand stuff for super cheap (I bought my nephew a Halloween costume for $1).
I love Savers the most, though. I'm not sure if they're nationwide or just in New England, but they're reasonably cheap and their donated items are sometimes unopened stuff.
Good luck finding a dress!

I recently started renting a house with one bathroom (one toilet, one shower) and one of the tiles in our bathroom got knocked loose. My landlord brought in a contractor to "fix it" and the contractor talked him into completely redoing our entire bathroom.
I don't really care, but we... We have to live there. And this entire ordeal is taking days, not hours. They removed the shower days ago so I've been running to my grand parents house to shower before I work in the morning.
They decided to remove the toilet yesterday and only put it back, unsecured, after my pregnant sister and I bitched about it.
And the cherry on top is they completely removed the door and hinges so in order to use the sad toilet, I have to pick up the door and place it against the frame, tell the house to fuck off for a second so I can have privacy, and then take a leak with a gaping hole in the frame.
I'm very frustrated. :( we looked up our tenant rights yesterday and it's all vague wording and fuzzy numbers regarding the landlord providing plumbing.
I just want this to be over aaaa. I want to pee in peace and shower in my own bathroom again.
Tell me of your frustrations, Voltra. How have you survived home renovations?

Listening to Gordon Ramsay screaming at people on Hell's Kitchen since it's playing on my second monitor. It makes me want to visit Ceasar's Palace someday though...
