Thanks for the advice guys. We're definitely going to follow every advice they tell us. Also have training to go to so we can learn how to aid her if needed.
I can't help but feel like the hospital was moving a bit too fast though. She almost didn't make it through last night but she was let out this morning. Now her blood sugar is already beyond 300 again. :/

Yeah, I guess a virus triggered it in her or something. She's been getting sick a lot this year but she and everyone didn't think anything of it until recently. She started complaining about being thirsty so much. Parents didn't think much of it, then she got sick during her vacation and on her way home is when it got serious. Paramedics had to take care of her when she got off the plane and by the time she got to a proper hospital, she was almost comatose.
Type 1 is a scary thing, especially popping up so unexpectedly. But I think it is common for it to show up later in life? She's turning 18 in two months, so she is old enough that it makes sense..
@Schye:
It's been a struggle, but she finally turned the corner and is getting better. They've officially taken her out of intensive care and she was finally able to eat something, but she will continue to stay at the hospital for a few more days.
The rest of us have a lot of training to go through over the next couple of days and next weekend as well. Something I didn't know hospitals did but I'm grateful for it.

More like Sea of WHY IS IT $60?
I have been anticipating this game for a year. I've always wanted a solid piratey game. Something that is a good mixture of Guns of Icarus and an open world RPG with character creation, lore, quests ect. Sea of Thieves sounded like it could potentially come close to what I've dreamed of for forever.
And I mean, it's pretty dang close. But from the reviews and gameplays I've seen, content-wise, it looks more like a $30 game. There's probably a few hours worth of game play before it gets boring.
I'd love to play it myself and get my own solid opinion on it, but just from what I've seen, I'm afraid I would be making another No Man Sky splurge. A whole lot of cash for a short lived excitement.
I don't wanna sound spoiled and be all "curse you Rare, you messed up!"
Nah, it does look like it is still a fun game. Just not $60 fun, for me. For most reviews I've seen, rather. It's disappointing and all I can hope is that Rare might plan some future updates to flesh out the game a bit more.
Discuss!
Have you played?
Are you in the same boat pun maybe intended as me?
What do you think of this game, what they were going for, and what it ended up being like?

@Turtle Sensei:
Thanks you two. It's definitely not gotten any easier. I just feel like a smeared puddle of paint on the floor. I'm finding it difficult to enjoy anything that I normally would and having no one to talk to 99% of the time just seems to prolong the hopeless feeling.
I'm normally way better at handling this sort of thing x__x but that's cause I normally have at least one person I can trust. its a new situation for me to have no one.

Thanks. It's all just so damaging. Might have to glue myself to some video games for a few weeks. Even though I originally planned to job hunt today Dx

Re-purposing this thread. Original issue is insignificant now.
Now, cause life likes to be a super dick, I almost lost my sister to type 1 diabetes that no one knew she had! I guess she started having an attack (or whatever terms) while she was on an airplane coming home from vacation.
She's currently in an ambulance with my mom, being transported from one hospital to another, where she will be staying a couple of days at least. It's too soon to feel relief, from what my parents are saying, because her condition isn't good still. I hope that she will recover smoothly from this incident and can come home before too long. She's still just a teen and I'm sure she's pretty upset. Or will be when she comes to. Last I heard she was so out of it she didn't really know what was going on around her, and that isn't even a result of medication. :vanora_cry:
diabetes is a scary thing to me. Although, we do have a friend who lives with type 1, so thankfully my sister will have someone to turn to. Even if he's in another country, he's already extending his hand for her. We'll have someone reliable to help her understand how to manage her health.
I'm just shocked and worried sick at this point. I heard she's been sick during her vacation, but no one seemed to recognize what was happening. It's scary how easily it can creep up on someone like that.
