@ChiffonOrange:
Ah i see! They sound interesting though (:

Also i share your struggles, i have a really hard time with the R sounds in different languages
I usually mess them up or exaggerate them and it just makes it sound funny :vanora_xd:
---

@Kitalpha Hart:
Ohh glad it's nothing too major. You think you could refer to those little changes as a dialect in a way or would it be too similar for that?

---

@Priestess of Pie:
Mistakes are part of the progress (:
But even recognizing a few things can help a lot

Ohh Esperanto?
I forgot about that, heard it being mentioned a few days ago and completely forgot what it was
Had to look it up, it's the language someone wanted to make a thing so people over the whole world could understand each other right?

Shame it never became bigger but to be fair there's already some languages that are spoken world wide so it would have some tough competitors.
Would be cool to see it become an official thing though

Did Esperanto remind you of any other languages or would you say it's a rather unique language?

@vitreus: i wouldn't call it lucid as im not actually aware of dreaming , well not to the point of it being lucid, im just aware enough to realize that i don't like where a dream is going and have ways to step out of it.

And people usually teach themselves to dream lucid by doing reality checks throughout the day, at least i think that's one of the most common ways.
Teaching yourself to remember your dreams can go a long way as well (:

And that sounds interesting, would you say its more like taking turns or can different dreams happen at the same time?
-----

@xvz:
Yeah no idea what let's me do it either but im not complaining haha c:

And yeah, lucid dreaming can take a lot of energy
I used to write my dreams down but it took so much energy out of me somehow so i couldn't really keep up with it anymore, sadly.
But i feel like it helps too cause you're making a conscious effort to write down and think about your dreams

I don't know if im awake when that happens, sometimes im in the exact same room and the only difference between irl and dreaming is basically the fact im either asleep or not. But when unsettling stuff is going on then i can pretty much confirm im asleep, still not pleasant though.

And rip @ the pressure thing, i used to have this thing where (i mean i was not awake,, thankfully) but could feel something sit on the bed or slowly push me off and let me tell you ive never been so happy to wake up in bed, i probably wouldnt have slept again had i woken up on the floor haha.
And yeah wiggling the smallest parts usually is the best way to get control back, it's hard enough as it is, probably going to stress yourself out even more if you try to move your whole arm without success.
Although it might depend on the person.

Do you experience sleep paralysis regularly or is it a completely random occurrence?

And trying new stuff can't hurt!
And it's fun if you at some point get to confirm something works for you. (:

@ChiffonOrange:
Oh Malay, as well as balinese, i don't hear often either!
Do they share some similarities with oter languages you know or are they completely different? o:

And Italian sounds cool too

@Nephila:
ohh, you ever plan on expanding your knowledge on french or is it more like something you had in school for a bit remembered/ something you studies as hobby?

@Count Trashula:
Every words/sentence counts!
Oh spanish and german are both 2 very different languages, is it purely out of interest or do you live in an area with a lot of spanish/german speakers? o:
And yeah i don't think one necessarily has to strive for fluency, being able to help yourself in more than one language is already a very helpful, and fun, thing.

Also 10 points for that pun

@Totalanimefan:
Ohh, i wonder if there's some form of sign language that's considered most, how would you call it, most universal/widely understood?
Never actively tried studying to languages at once, let alone trying to learn one spoken/written vs sign language
What would you say is the biggest difference between learning the two? o:
And japanese really sounds like a lot of fun, speaking other languages with friends is a great way of practice too

@xvz:
I think it kinda happened on accident that i figured out how to do that, im not always fully conscious of it when i pull something like that off.
It kinda stems back from when i was a little kid actually!
Back then i somehow taught myself that if dreams got to scary/intense i had to close my eyes real tight and it would wake me up, throughout the years that mechanism just kinda changed. ( i game a lot so i think that's what the mechanism took after)
And , at the times i do end up with sleep paralysis i just keep my eyes closed so nothing can startle me, smile and wiggle my fingers/toes so i can wake up/move as soon as possible without being too stressed by it . (:

I used to try and train to be able to lucid dream but i have this problem that the moment i become aware of it being a dream i start to wake up.
And sometimes i just go back to normal dreaming in the middle of it.
So whenever i do go lucid it's pretty weak, rip.

One funny thing though (which might also be part of the reason why i can pull things like that off) , when thinking of stuff in dreams i often have acces to how i would think when i was awake/have access to irl memories even when im not myself in dreams. I have times where i wasn't lucid but i found myself commenting on the dream somehow.
Sometimes i even have memories in dreams from completely unrelated dreams i've had in the past. :')

But things you do throughout the day/ habits can manifest themselves in dreams so i do believe is possible to create some kind of safe word/action that can help you wake up from a dream (:
I think one of the things you could try is just telling yourself every night before sleep what that safeword/action would be and hope at some point dreams will pick up on that.

Kinda like some people train lucid dreaming but use the techniques for other things. c:

@Kitalpha Hart:
Oh wonder why that is. o:
I hope the rest remains mostly the same or they at least have a way to communicate/figure out the different ones.
At the same time it's quite interesting too how they end up developing different signs.

Suddenly reminded of this video about the community in VR chat i saw a while ago.
They had rooms/worlds dedicated to ASL to help people out and i think they even made some new signs to easily communicate some things in game!

@Hachi: I see, i see
And can imagine that over exposure to one language might take it's toll on another.
Still think it's cool you're trying to get better at it though, is she one of the people you regularly practice with? o:

Oh that might've been what i was thinking of yep
is there a rule of using simplified vs traditional or is it all about personal preferences?

And they are, like how some languages have exceptions and with others it's like
the whole language is an exception like please, don't do this to us :'D

Oh that sounds cool, really convenient too
Is the roman way of writing the words a legit thing as well or is it more like idk, a stepping stone of sorts?
(hope you don't mind me asking these questions, i'm a curious person)

And i live very close to the border of both Germany and Belgium
Not the french part of belgium but you know, most of them can at the very least speak it so i guess that's why they chose that over other languages :')

And aw, well at least it's fun when you can, even if just partially, tell what they're talking about in songs or in tv shows that have spanish in it.
Yes, rip @ the upkeep ;-; Agree with you one that one.

Yes i just realized i missed a few days, am scared to check my mail now
Careful, it feeds on our fear :')
