@Lina: oh wow <3 there are so few people like that! We had a rat infestation in my block of flats and all it took was disturbing the nests. I think people are too quick to resort to poison/traps ::(

Yeah, there are very few ethical ways to get rid of a rat or mouse infestation unfortunately :(

poison is a terrible death for an animal. Their insides dissolve while they are still alive. It takes days. And if a cat or a predator bird eats their dead body, they die the same way. Sorry for the TMI but I am very passionate about it.

yeah we found them with their mum and it looked like she had been poisoned, so they had probably taken in some of the poison from her milk. But still, I did my best with them.
