I have a few of those. Just glad that the one under my foot, with a blister on top, disappeared.

@mdom: you mean to say that paperclips aren’t earrings? What about safety pins?
@Unicorn: if it isn’t getting less tomorrow, I’ll go to a doctor to get it checked and get antibiotics

@KairoSama: that thing was actually pretty good. After top surgery, you aren’t allowed to move your arm up higher than your shoulders. That vest will make sure you don’t.
No I don’t. I had the surgery and everything is flat now.

@Francisco: the one who trained me was like “ey just try”. When it went wrong, he rold me look at a specific item. Not very good because I don’t learn anything that way.
So I started to block the clothes, to see where the shade was, most with an ink layer, and then look at the thing I made. Made it much easier.

@Francisco: I use sai. I like the feel and look and know how to work with it.
Working on your own is good when you get used to the shading a bit.
What also helps is by adding a layer over your sample and drawing lines on that, with where the shading starts. Use a different colour then the sample (when the dress is yellow, use red lines) and use different layers and different colours for the different shades. That way it’s easier to see where it is.

@Francisco: what program are you using?
When I started, I started watching people outside. Just looking at their clothes, just to see where the shade goes and where the light goes.
I also kept a sample of something I wanted to make (for example a dress) near my drawing, so I can check if I’m still going right.

@Francisco: humour is an ever changing thing. When I watch things I used to laugh at, I often I don’t think it’s funny anymore.
Shading can be a complete torture but can also be amazing. That last is usually when you finish it.
I used to make items for a site and had a love hate relationship with everything I made.

@Francisco: I remember Newgrounds from ling time ago. I got frustrated with the games because they were hard, but I also wanted to finish them because I wanted to know the ending. XD
Same goes for the old CSI games. I had all of them and I could play for hours, just to get a bit further when I was stuck.
When I draw, I’m harder on myself than I am on anyone else.
I often get frustrated but still go on.

@Francisco: I played a few escape room hames before and many were like “I made this hard”, while I went through it in minutes. XD
Lots of people love their OC’s. Like they’re their children.
Oh I also have that syndrome and, with us, lots of people do.
Just make sure that you like it all before releasing it!
