@Alexis: almost every day working there felt like an episode of a sitcom.
From a chief who wanted to act like everyone‘s father, a racist who was pretty open minded after a few drinks, 2 coworkers who secretly had a relationship but everyone knew (she 30-ish, he 18), a fat lady who always had cookies and chocolate when needed, a stoner and your friendly neighbourhood punk (aka me)

@Zuzu: my mother knew them since the 70’s. They used to be neighbours of one of my (homophobic) uncles and, when she was house sitting, they would invite her over for dinner and wine night.
They also kept an eye on her that she didn’t go to bed too late or that she worked too much (she was a caregiver for families in need full tume, worked for the red cross and had several different trainings and course of her work and the red cross).
So, overall, they were happy people and they loved taking care of others, just not that one time.
If you’re high enough in a tree, you can’t really tell what they’re yelling at you, even when it’s in your own language.
“Don’t climb that high up a tree”, “don’t climb on top of the school’s roof”, “be careful, you’ll fall to your dead” all sound the same.
