@Ixora: fo shizzle.
An old neighbour worked in the city, cleaning yhe streets and before that on the market, basically right next to the masons. He had no idea until I told him.
He said they weren’t there, what made me say they were and told them where they were. A few days later, he came to me to tell me I was right.

Some probably do open up to their family about it, but then their families can’t tell anyone else about it. They are that secretive around here.
Basically why I want to go and see.

The clothing fair is tomorrow and I need to sort the clothes I have, want to get rid of and will most likely sell.
It’s for autumn and winter clothes and I have 3 jackets and 2 pairs of shoes that will definitely go.

But now for the rest...

*yoghurt

I also did some grocery shopping, because I ran out of milk and ‘Ebke kwark’.

@Glume: coffee is totally a meal. Coffee is also their own vitamin that you need: vitamin C.

@Ixora: the masons here only opened up a bit in the last few years. Before that, people could know where they were because of a sign on the door but that was about it.
Still most people don’t know where they are and only guess they’re around. They also guess what they do.
So far, I only met one who showed she was a mason by a necklace. When I said I like the lecklace, she tried to hide it quickly.

@Glume: when my grandmother passed away, she had her funeral in church and there were 4 priests. They all did their own rituals and had parts in latin.
That was also the last time I've been to church.
@Ixora: I don’t know much about my father and even less about his fathet. I do know they kept a few things secret from my mother and she never found out what it was.
My grandfather had a bunch of things upstairs and my mother was not allowed to come near, let alone touch, them.

Heights

I will not do anything that is higher than I am from.
There is a church nearby that you can climb and look over the city. Oh fck no. I will not do it.
Getting on a ladder to clean my roof. Nope. My 85 year old landlord does that for me.

I saw late last night that the Freemasons here have a day where a few people can come over for a guide through the building, get a few things explained and drink coffee for an ‘open minded’ discussion (tho I’m not sure how open minded some people will be around them).

That open day is on 11-11 and I’m seriously tempted to go just because I’m curious.

Anyone ever wanted to visit the Freemasons?
Where has your curiosity brought you?

oh look, another 11

I’ve done it on my father’s side of the family. I don’t know much about them and thought that would be a good way to find out a few things about them.
I traced them back to 1744. Until 1910, they all lived near a city in the middle of The Netherlands and only moved a few miles.
Then, in 1910, my greatgrandparents got married, 6 months later they had my grandfather and moved away much further.
Since then, the family has lived in or near a city nearby.
