there was like a leftover flower arrangement at work so i added water to it and kept it on my desk cuz it looked nice
1 week later a lot of the plants were ready to go but !!! not all , to my surprise the mint had rooted :"-)

but west n southwest facing light can be p harsh i guess, esp if you're farther north ... ?

i usually grow my green onions too ^^
but i think they need soil after a month or so ....... the ones i kept in water i feel like needed Something More

have you tried like windowsill garden herbs ??
i had some extra mint and stuck it in a glass and put it by the window ~
i had a few growing last year too (they died when i left for a month in the winter lol)

i can have a small dog or cat if i ask my landlord nicely but probablyyy not a chicken lol
my dream house has a garden <3 tho i've seen some people around w tomato plants outside :3
