"I... uh..." he stammered.

"Yeah." he said.

"Yeah, I can show up sooner, with an older model." he went on.

"I can put two and two together, but... well... know what? We'll talk when I get there." he continued.

"I can be there in... 20 minutes or so."

"I'm at Cain's." was the last thing Lunet said before saying thank you, and they ended the call. She sighed as she set the phone down on the couch next to her.

"He said 20 minutes." She said, not sure if Cain was still in the room or not. For all she knew, he'd walked off while she was on the phone.

"Said he'll bring one of my oprevious versions too... hopefully something that'll actually, y'know, fit."

"All right." Cain replied.

"I'll get to work on the waffle batter." he told her.

"...man, thank the stars Mom and Dad are both out on missions right now." he went on.

"LOTTA questions would be asked..." he mumbled.

"Anyway, want me to put on the TV or something?" he asked.

"...and by that, I mean something that you can still listen to, like the news or something." he clarified.

"Or are you good?"

"I got my phone. Istill need to be checking my notices and messages from overnight." She added honestly.

"So I'm good." She added with a smile.

"All right." Cain responded.

"I'll get to work." he told her.

With that, he left the room, and Lunet was left to her own devices.

And about 20 minutes later, there was a knock on the door.

"It's Leo!" they heard a voice call in.

"Door's open! Lunet's in the den!" Cain called back.

Lunet then heard the door open, and heard footsteps towards her... before they suddenly stopped.

"L... Lunet...?" Leo stammered.

"I was preparing myself for this, but... yeah, this still shocked me..." he admitted, before getting closer towards her.

"No, we have no idea what happened." She added after a moment or two.

He then sat down beside her, and looked her over.

"Right." he said.

"I'll do a small scan." he told her.

"See if everything's still working correctly inside you." he continued.

"THEN see about hooking up an earlier model."

"Of course." She said.

"Do as you need to, Leo." She added before sighing.

"And thank you. I know we had later planned, but... well... this happened. Can't navigate too well when a size I'm not used to."

He then used his mana and did a brief scan of her body, causing a bit of a tingling sensation all throughout her.

"...huh." he mumbled.

"Well, seems like everything in there is still functioning and all right." he commented.

"Just need to set up one of the older visors to interface with you." he went on.

"Are you all right?" he then asked. "Other than... well... the obvious."

"I... think I'm all right." She told him honestly.

"I'm worried though... what caused this, and how dead is Cain gonna be once Dad finds out?" She asked, knowing he couldn't answer that.

"Because we both know he's going to be blaming Cain, or possibly Aedan, for this."

Leo grimaced a little when he heard that.

"Yeah..." he mumbled, before getting to work.

Just the two of them could smell the sweet aroma of waffles in the air, Leo spoke.

"All right..." he mumbled.

"I think I got this." he said.

"I'll attach it, and we'll see if it works." he told her.

"Ready?" he asked.

Lunet paused a moment before nodding.

"I am." She confirmed. As he set the old device on her face, he noticed it wasn't a perfect fit, but it would work for this, for this hopefully temporary situation.

He connected the visor, before pulling back.

"Whcih one is this?" Lunet asked. She knewo how to turn them on, but wasn't sure which one it was. They were all very similar, yes, but there were enough differences to mean that she should know which it was for ease.

"It's the black and purple one." Leo told her.

"One of the... more recent older models." he continued.

"Anyway, that SHOULD interface without any issues." he told her.

Sure enough, when she turned it on, there was a bit of a delay... but it booted up, and she could see just as well as with her other visor.

"How is it?" Leo asked.

"Any issues?"

"Not at all." She answered honestly.

"Seems like a perfect connection." She added after a moment or two.

"Oh yeah, want me to work on the OTHER visor?" he asked.

"You know, the original reason I was to come see you." he added with a chuckle.

"What was wrong with it that it needed servicing?" he asked her.

"I may be able to see whatever it is, and fix it up so it'll be ready to go when you're... well, grown-up again." he laughed.

"I'll go grab it." She said simply before climbing off of the couch and heading off to the stairs, grateful to be able to see again.

She returned a few minutes later with the visor.

"Here." She said, handing it to him.

"It was glitching out, and I think it's because of the alchemical things that I was helping with last night, but I'm not entirely sure."

"Anyway, how hungry are you?" he asked, stacking up about 6 thick and fluffy waffles.

"And what do you want for toppings and such?" he asked further.

"I can pretty much guarantee we have... whatever you want." he chuckled.
