Creepy pastas are fun.
I love all things that have Halloween feels.
I like them, but I don't take a lot of them very seriously. It's for me to take the 'scary' power away from creatures that aren't that scary in the first place.
Yeah, don't give them any more power.
The only one I can recall clearly is the one about Hypno. It's big yikes.
Pokemon have some dark things in their lore and they like to play it to the extreme.
The problem with a lot of video game based creepypastas, is that they can very easily be debunked. Which takes the fun of being scared out of it. Plus some of them are written so very bad. Like My Immortal levels of bad.
Bad writing just ruins it. Doesn't make me wanna even read them.
Which is why I adore the fancomics from some of them. The comics do a lot of fun rewriting. Granted they tend to change the creepypastas from straight horror to horror-comedy, but I prefer that anyway. The funny moments make the lows more gripping, and they make the characters not stupid ass holes. Nothing worse than horror with throw away douchebags. It's scary when you like the characters and you don't want them to die.
That's what my husband hates about watching horror movies. He loves the genre, but the dumb characters and unrealistic actions made to just progress the story make it big oof.
I get pretty attached to the characters early on. Sucks when they die cause of something stupid.
Like there's a place for body count movies, I like those when I'm in a bad mood and want to watch stupid people die from being stupid. But when I want to be scared? No, I need something to matter. If nothing matters, then it's not scary. For example I love the Banana Splitz horror movie. It's not a good movie, and it's definitely not scary. But it's at least fun.
I made myself some delicious lunch. Ramen with steak strips left over from last night, and some curry powder mixed in.
Room is done being cleaned...with 15 minutes to spare before my FaceTime appointment...
