My school had that problem where despite they have the ability to get good teachers they always end up hiring jackasses who obviously do not care at all about what they're teaching if they're even qualified to teach it in the first place

Senior that had gone through all the World and US history classes had to take Gov, which seemed decently interesting because in that class you would hold a campaign to be voted into various positions, and you had the kids that didn't want to run function as the team that helped with all the campaigning things (I didn't take it so I don't remember it all)
