Jaden had been up and about for another 45 minutes or so, before making his way back to his room.
Where he found he still couldn't sleep.
".....fuck it." he growled to himself.
He'd heard Desiree make her way to the den, but he needed to put this to rest.
So he grabbed his phone, and sent Kalin a text.
Sorry if this wakes you up, but is Desiree the sort to hide serious injuries, or ignore them? he sent.

Jaden was waiting for about three minutes before his cell chimed.
Uhh... sometimes... why? was all it said.
Meanwhile, Kalin sighed as she got to her feet, she'd been sitting at her desk in the middle of checking things over for a case, before making her way down to the basement. When she found Rene down there, she waited for him to surface before getting his attention.
"Yo. So Jaden just asked a concerning question." She said after he was close enough.
"He just asked if Desiree was one to hide serious injuries." She added.
"I'm waiting on a reply, but something tells me that Desiree's in rough shape."
Rene just tread water for a moment, and then sighed.
"Well... you know she is." he said.
"It doesn't occur to her to seek medical attention for stuff." he went on.
Just then, her cell chimed.
Well, she has bruises all over, but that's not why I ask. Her breathing is unusually shallow, but it doesn't seem like it's forced. It's like if she tried to breathe deeply, it would hurt her, if that makes sense. Jaden sent her.
"Well... you know she is." he said.

"Sounds like her ribs took a hit." She added.
"And are we sure she doesn't have a massive case of depression?" She then asked, semi jokingly. They'd convinced her to be checked in the past, and Desiree came out clean for that. She didn't have depression, she was just... a bit clueless sometimes.
Rene sighed.
"I..." he stammered.
"Her tests said she didn't." he said.
"I think she's just really REALLY timid." he went on.
"You know... doesn't want to bother anyone and all that sorta thing."

"But... anyway. Physical... she may have damaged ribs." Kalin commented, bringing the subject back to the more crucial bit.
"And it's not uncommon for Desiree to just try and wait it out." She added.
"Do you want to head over there or wait it out?"
"Hm." Rene muttered, checking the time.

"I may head there now. See if she's awake." he said.
"If she's not... then I'll wait around, or come back later." he told her.

"Because I can do that." She said as she typed away at her phone.

"Get my medical travel kit." he told her.
"Odds are I'll need it." he said.
K was all Jaden responded with, before sighing.
He then got up out of bed, and went to see how Desiree was doing.

"I'll grab it. It'll be sitting on the table so you can grab it on your way." She told him.

Desiree was silent as Jaden poked his head into the den to see if she was awake, or what she was up to. She didn't have her headset, and had turned on the subtitles on the movie she was watching - which was Hocus Pocus.
Jaden just smiled as he saw what Desiree was watching.
'Heh.' he thought.
'That's a good movie.' he told himself.
He then made his way over and got into her view in such a way that it didn't startle her.
"Hey." he said with a wave, making sure she saw his mouth.
"Want something to drink?" he asked her.

"I can get you pretty much anything."

"Uhh... thanks" She said, not sure what the hell it was that she was supposed to make of this. She hadn't expected Rene to be there, after all.

"I'm here because of a concerned party." he said.
"Desiree, I wish to do an examination on you." he told her.
"See if you have any serious issues that need to be tended to." he continued.
"And before you protest, you know I've done this in the past, and saved you a lot more trouble in the long run." he then told her further.

He did a bit of a shooing motion with his hand, and then looked back at Desiree.
"Right, Jaden's made his way to his room." he told her.
"Tell me... are you feeling pain and/or discomfort right now?" he asked.
