Jaden was silent for a moment, before clearing his throat a little.
"Ah... well, all right." he said.
"I slept okay." he reiterated.

"I coudl eat, yes." She answered after a few seconds.
"I'm not entirely sure what I want though, I will admit."
"Hm." Jaden muttered.

"Well.... there IS a good variety available to you." he told her.
"Waffles, pancakes... hell, I can get a nice continental breakfast in." he said.
"Or something as simple as cereal." he added with a shrug.

"I have no idea what I want. I don't usually eat breakfast, admittedly." Desiree then said after a few seconds as she stroked the kitties fur.
"So... I'll just go with whatever you prepare for yourself?" She then asked as an answer, or suggestion.

With that, he retired to the kitchen... and about 5 minutes later, the smell of waffles started to permeate the suite, making its way to Desiree and tantalizing her with the smell of it.

When Jaden called out to her, Desiree got to her feet and made her way out to him.
"First off, it smells really damned good in here." She commented as she leaned agains thte doorframe.
"Secondly, I'm partial to pineapple" She told him honestly.
"I'm guessing you're asking for a topping?"

"Heh, thanks." he replied.
"And yeah. I am." he told her.

She found the kitten rolling around on the couch, playing with a stray feather that it had found.
It rolled around some, before getting too close to the edge and tumbling off.
Once it landed, it scrambled to its feet in a panic, before dashing off with a burst of speed, hiding under one of the chairs in the room.
After a second, it peeked its head out, and looked around some.

Desiree just chuckled lightly as she watched all she did.
"Heh." She muttered.
"You're too damn cute." She added as she made her way over to the chair that it had hidden under and just sat down about a foot in front of it before scratching the carpet to get its attention.
The kitten instantly looked at where Desiree was scratching, and dug its paws in slightly.
It wiggled its behind a little, before running towards her and pouncing on her hand.
It didn't extend its claws, however.
It just batted her fingers around, rolling on the floor and mewing.

'Still gotta figure out a name for you though..." she mutteredf after a few seconds before sighing as she continued to play with the kitten.

Eventually, even though it had taken a few months, Desiree had found a palce and finally managed to move out. Jaden had helped her get her few things to the one bedroom apartment that she'd rented out in a building on the other side of town.
"Thanks Jaden." She said with a soft smile.
"You want some coffee or something while here?" She then asked after a moment.
Jaden just smiled as Desiree made her offer.
"Mmmm.... yeah, sure." he said.
"I suppose I can manage a cup before I gotta go." he told her.
"Welp, at least you have your own place now." he then said.
"And the kitten seems to enjoy it, too." he went on, watching the kitten tear around, investigating every little thing it could.
"...gonna be honest..." he then muttered.
"I'm going to... well... miss having you around as a roommate, essentially." he admitted.
"Mmmm.... yeah, sure." he said.
"I suppose I can manage a cup before I gotta go." he told her.

"I'm going to... well... miss having you around as a roommate, essentially." he admitted.
Desiree just laughed lightly.
"Well, you're welcome to come crash on my couch at any time." she commented. The pair of them had gotten quite close over the past few months.
"It'll be odd to be out of there myself, as well." She added.
"I don't know how weird it's gonna be, but I do expect it to be ... well... quite weird at first."
Jaden nodded.
"I'll keep that in mind if I need a place to crash." he said.
"And yeah... it'll be odd to be without each other's company..." he then admitted.
"But hey, at least you really aren't alone." he told her, as the kitten mewed from atop a cabinet that was nearby.
"Case in point." he said with a light chuckle.
