The kitten struggled and squirmed a bit, but eventually settled down.
Soon after she started to hear it purr again.
It seemed that it really liked being dried off, and being out of the water.
Or maybe it was just glad that bath time in general was over.
Regardless, it had calmed down considerably.

"Good." Desiree sadi as she got to her feet nd swapped the towels, since the one she'd been using was pretty soaked after getting the bulk of the kitten's water.
"Let's show you where your food and litter are." She added with a light smirk before heading out of the bathroom and looking around. She didn't know Jaden was still up or not.
She didn't see Jaden around, but she DID hear something.
She heard him yawn from the kitchen, and close the fridge door.
"Ugh." he grunted.
"Right.... that should do it." he said.
He then made his way out of the kitchen, seeing Desiree down the hallway.
"Bath time over?" he asked her.

"This little kitty is all clean." she then said with another nod.

"Good." Jaden replied.
"I set up some water and food in the kitchen." he told her.
"And there's litter in the box." he continued.

"How about that empty part of the wall under the window by the kitchen?" Desiree asked.
"and thank you for setting tha tup." She added after a moment.
"But, how about there? I don't think it's being used for anything at the moment."
Jaden nodded.
"All right." he replied.
He then set the litter down where she had indicated, and stretched out some.
"Oh well." he said.
"Think you may try bed soon?" he asked her.
"I think I'm gonna." he said.
"Need to catch a few hours, at least."

"Yeah." She said.
"I need some sleep. I may still not feel like I can sleep... but I'm hoping." She then admitted with a light sigh.
"Maybe having something to cuddle with will help." She added as she continued to dry the kitty

"I think we should all get some sleep." he reasoned.
He then yawned once more, and looked unimpressed.
"Yep." he said.
"Yawning WAY too much." he reasoned.
"So I'm going to go and get some sleep." he told her.

With that, he left the two of them, made his way to his room, collapsed onto his bed, and stared at the ceiling.

"Let's hope I still manage to get some." he said further, before allowing his eyes to slowly close.

Desiree waved as Jaden headed off before sitting down on the couch with the kitten.
She wasn't there for too long, only another half an hour before she used her wind to finish drying the kitten. Once the feline was dry, she made sure it knew where the food, water, and litter were, before heading to the room she was using - with the kitten following.
It curled up with her in bed, which at least helped keep the nightmares at bay it seemed.
She woke the next day at around ten in the morning and made her way out of the room, making sure ot have gabbed her headset. The kitten hadn't been with her when she woke, but that hadn't really surprised her. Chances were it got up to get food or explore at some point.
She found that the kitten was not at the litter, nor at the food.
The kitten was at the slightly ajar door to Jaden's room.
It was crouched down, looking like it was ready to pounce... before it dashed inside.
To which she heard light thumps and tumbles from inside.

Desiree paused a moment before quirking an eyebrow.
"eh?" She wondered quietly before heading over toward the door and poking her head in, hoping that she wouldn't find him sleeping nude.
She had no idea what she'd find though.
To her relief, she found that Jaden was not sleeping nude.
In fact, he had grey sleeping pants on, as well as a sleeping shirt of the same color.
However... that was not what grabbed her attention.
Jaden's hat was off... and his head was hanging off the side of the bed, revealing to her that he had very long golden blonde hair cascading down onto the floor...
...which the kitten was currently batting around and playing with.

Desiree was silet before she saw his hair, and the kitten playing with it.
"Right..." She muttered after watching it for a bit. She then slowly made her way over and scooped it up, got it out of Jaden's hair, and left the room. before snickering lightly once the door was closed.
That was something she could hide that she knew. Or play it up. She had no idea what she would do, but it was definitely something that was surprising.
Just as she closed the door, she heard Jaden mumbling in his sleep.
"Nnph..." he muttered.
"Bastard..." he said.
"Stay away... her...." he went on.
"Run... get... way from here..." he muttered further.
"...protect...." he added, before it devolved into light grunts.
"Nnph..." he muttered.

Desiree was silent for a moment before shaking her head. She had no idea what that was all about, and she wasn't about to dwell on it.
Although it did tell her he talked in his sleep, so that was reason enough to never share a room with him. Not that it would matter, of course. She was deaf, what difference would it make if someone spoke in their sleep?
She carried the kitten off to the den and sat down on the couch, not sure how long it would be before Jaden was up.
The two of them were waiting on the couch for about another hour... with the kitten going back and forth between cuddling with her, and playing with toys.
Desiree then heard Jaden emerge from his room, and he made his way to the den.
"Oh, hey." he said, straightening his hat a little.
"Good morning." he said further.
"Sleep well?" he asked.
"I mean... well, ever since getting the kitten." he then clarified.

"Morning." She said.
"And I slept... allr ight, after I took the kitten to bed." She agreed with a nod.
"Still wasn't amazing, but it was better than it likely would have been without." she then aded.
"How about you? How'd you sleep?"
