I really wish people wouldn't blare Christmas music everywhere soon as fall ends. I wonder if stores feel that it will encourage customers to buy more? Like, reminding them to get gifts or splurge a little more cause hey it's about that time. I haven't been in any stores for a long while. But I still hear the songs everywhere because of advertisements. I've gotten used to it over the years, so it doesn't bother me all that much. But I don't even celebrate Christmas so it's extra annoying when I find I have a holiday song stuck in my head because it's been played six times in the past half hour. Make more holiday songs y'all got like four and it's driving all retail employees insane when they gotta hear 'em all day.
I wonder when the tradition of playing Christmas music in stores started. Like, what was the first store to do that? I bet they had no clue what they unleashed into the world that day...

LOL! Oh, I am right there with all of you! It's amazing how many people seem to be annoyed at the two-month Christmas music cycle, yet the pattern still continues, year in and year out. Let's play it a couple of weeks beforehand, maybe, but not nonstop, starting right after Halloween, because (as somebody recently reminded me) it's not a holiday, it's an entire season! /eyeroll/
