-disappeared to go shower-
So now I no longer feel like I'm completely covered in dust, and dirt. (I cleaned some of those easily overlooked and often ignored spaces today like the tops of bookshelves and the ceiling fan blades, etc. - so lots of dust falling on me today!)

@sunny: so in other words, your story takes place in the current timeline XD ;)

@moodyb: that's awesome! And really, it's a good, good learning tool - one that not many "professional" artists seem to take on for some reason. So it's really good that you're inspired to do that! :3

@Wildfire: not sure what you mean by professional artists.
But i see many people redraw their stuff here and there.

I love redrawing but i rarely do it because i always have a million projects going. :vanora_sweat:
I mostly just want to see how much I've improved.

@MoodyB: Good point. I was thinking of those artists who have a degree in art, use it professionally, etc. but really it's something that can be applied to any artist looking for self-improvement - and most are. The point I was trying to make is that I don't see a lot of artists doing that kind of exercise, which is a shame since so much can be learned from it. But, I am also not plugged in to some of the places you probably are right now, in terms of the art community (I'm more of an old school artist)

@Wildfire: If you mean in the industry, i don't often see them do personal work hardly
since they usually have a lot to do for the field they work in. like if their comic artists.

They could do that stuff but don't really post it though.
Sometimes how social media works is if you post something out of the ordinary you lose followers.
so there's that.

@MoodyB: "...if you post something out of the ordinary, you lose followers. "
THAT^^ says a whole lot about the online art community and explains why I intuitively tend to avoid it. That^^ is not art and it's a shame, IMO.
So there's "art", there's "online presence"...

@Wildfire: Unfortunately, if you run a small business through your art
you have to adapt to social media and their changes.
Because some go paycheck by paycheck, and losing followers also means losing sales
which is hard if you dont or can't work a 9-5 job.

@MoodyB: Yes, I understand... at least as well as I am able to since I'm not in the middle of trying to run a creative business completely online. Gawd, this conversation is making me feel old - LOL! I can definitely learn a few things here...

@Wildfire: For me I am trying to run a creative business as it's the only job i can actually work.
Especially with all my mental illness issues i can't work a normal job. And i can't drive and i don't want to risk anyone
getting COVID.

So it's very hard because you're not only a freelance artist, but you also are marketing yourself too and essentially also you're an entrepreneur
so it's a lot of juggling and working to better your craft too and also battling burnout and it's a lot of stress lmao.
But daydreaming about one day when i can sell merch makes me happy and makes it all worth it.

I've only gotten commissioned once this whole year
and that was my close art friend.
So it's not easy at all to say the least. Especially with Social media changing all the time.
So i'm mostly trying to study, to improve and learn to market myself better.

@moodyb: yes, I understand completely! It really takes a lot to manage all these different aspects of having an online business. It was so much easier "back in the day" when things were simple and new and didn't change every five minutes - lol!!

@Wildfire: Yeah, if IG did not change it every month or so i'm sure
i'd have an easier time. and if we were not in a pandemic too.

IG right now is just a pain to post to because even if i post at the right times
they're still hiding new posts because of the election.
but IG is the only platform i have an okay following.

@moodyb: I'm not on IG, but the censorship issues are very real in this day and age - which baffles me thoroughly!! I give you credit for sticking with it. I'm sure the covid situation is not helping you very much :(

@Wildfire: yeah. im just trying to be consistent cause
consistently helps. and I also try to comment on others art sincerely as well
as that also helps.

But might just try to finish a bunch of art and post them
so when the censorship is gone people can find my stuff.
Just gotta keep going with it and work on my craft too and not worry too much.

have a good lunch? or dinner? whichever time it is for you lol

@Wildfire: yup. my only real plan tbh.
and have my sister help my advertise my stickers.

i am gonna buy one sticker cause gotta keep account active.
so over time i will have variety of my stickers and just take pictures of them.

for some reason people normally have no interest in merch unless you have the physical version of it.

Asian food sounds so good right now.
idk what i'm having for dinner lol. too exhausted to cook.

Finished the sketch on my other one yesterday and decided today i should work
on a new one so this one i can paint.

Going to do a value study so will be hopefully painting in grayscale once
i get the sketch down.

I'm also going to be working on my art exchange piece as well.
