Vicki just smiled lightly. That was good to hear, it gave her some hope for the future.

"Ohhh, good." She said quietly. It was most cerainly something taht helped her get back to her research.

The question though, was whether or not she'd find anything more...

She made her way up to the building, triggering alarms as she moved. She knew that it was something that would get attention, due to how much mana she had. She wasn't in good shape though, and her mana was weakened, severely.

It wasn't underheard of for her or the other to stop by every so often, but it was usually only when they were weakened to such a degree.

She made her way to the door, and knocked, continuously looking over her shoulder to see if any of them were approaching. Thankfully, she was reasonably certain that she was clear, they'd had their fill for the moment. It wouldn't last long, but it was lasting long eough, she was sure. She was hoping, anyway.

"Mostly here to have my shoulder and arm tended to." She answered.

"And I hear about there being a .... shift in power here." She added. "I admit, I wanted to stop by because I'm curious."

"Mostly? I hurt and I am not a medic."

"I mean that while I was out there, one of the letters I received said that there'd been a shift, and that maybe there was hope." She answered honestly.

"I don't know anything more than that." She added before looking to the one that had addressed her, inquiring about her arm.

"Dislocated at the very least, probably broken, definitely bleeding." was her answer.

"Wait, what?" She asked, her voice a bit surprised.

"That's rather surprising." she added, admitted.

"I hadn't even thought that it would work. I know she was considering asking my help when I was here next, or when Hal was." She continued, not even seeming to register the pain in her arm and shoulder, at all.

She was silent as she was told all she was.

"Well then." She started after a few seconds.

"I suppose I should go talk to her. If anyone can help, it's most likely me." She added.

"Well, me or Hal."

She just sighed, heavily.

"... The last I heard from him was about two years ago." She admitted.

"I have no idea if he's alive or not." She added. "I just know that I do miss him, and I hope he's doing well. We haven't managed crossed paths in quite awhile."

"appreciate it." she said.

"If I ever see him again, I'll tell him to pop his head in. I know he does the same as I do, avoid here unless he needs the place because of our man's. However, I'm down by like 7/8ths,so I am not a very good beacon at the moment. I do love how we can kind of survive those things catching us." she added.

"being what we are, we easily overpower them temporarily. It's saved my life a few times."

"Most certainly appreciated." She said with a nod.

"Thank you. Oh! Right, here." She then said before awkwardly reaching into her pocket on the side of the immobile arm. She withdrew an envelope, handing it to the medic.

"I'm sure this can be useful here." There was a smirk, which was as close to a smile as she ever showed, to her face. The envelope was one that he knew she enchanted, he could feel the slight weight to it. It was about a pound in weight, most certainly heavier than it should have been. Which meant one thing, it was one of those bottomless pits she often brought back full of supplies.

Giving it to him could only mean one thing.

Medical supplies.

"Hey, whenever I come by, I make sure I can pay for the medical treatments." She said with a laugh.

"Anyway, my usual crashing pad still available?" She asked as she got to her feet.

"As I'm heading there if it is."

She paused.

"I... did not consider the fact that Jo likes to claim it while I'm not here." She admitted.

"Anyway. Thanks for the help, and I do hope that that all comes in handy. If there's something you need that isn't there, you know how you can get it." She said with a smirk before waving and heading off, heading toward where she usually stayed. It was removed from the rest, in one of the abandoned offices near the top. She knew that she was a risk there, so she took the most removed location she could. It just happened to be a supremely beneficial place for Jo to stay too, as he was usually on roof duty.
