"...I see." he said.

"Very well." he said further, pondering this turn of events.

"We just need someone with enough mana to help with this." he continued, narrowing his eyes slightly.

"I have an idea as to WHO, as well." he then mumbled.

"From what I know, he has so much mana, not even his own body can handle it."

"It needs the mana to get home." She continued after a moment or two.

"Very much so." he said.

"The question is, how to ask him about this." he told her, before pausing.

"Or... rather... WHO will ask him." he realised, before pressing the button for the P.A. system.

"Kaia Fyrane to my office immediately, please." he said.

"Kaia Fyrane to Agent Sharp's office, ASAP." he repeated.

"Kaia..?" Vaeri asked, her voice curious, thinking about that for a moment.

"Wait... her cousin?" She asked a couple of minutes later, just before there was a knock on the door.

"Yo! You called?" Kaia's voice came through the door. Hal motioned for Vaeri to open the door, to which she did, and the vampire made her way in.

"What's up?"

"Have a seat." Hal told her, gesturing to a chair.

"And yes." he answered Vaeri, as she sat down.

"Kaia, I'll be frank about this. We have a way to bring everyone back." he told her. "However, it's going to require having a Void dweller absorb copious amounts of mana from someone." he said further.

"More mana than any one person has... save for one." he went on, figuring she'd know who he meant.

"Can you ask him? I'm sure he'll be more willing to listen to you, and help you."

".... I can try?" Kaia anaswered.

"I don't know if he's home at the moment. I don't keep too well in contact with Ash, and there's a VERY decently good chance that he'll be gone on a hunt right now." She added.

"But I can try, at least?" She added as she pulled her phone out of her pocket and started to type up a text. She wanted to text him for one reason, and one reason alone: there was a possibility that his ringtone could get him in trouble.

Kaia's text was simple, quick, and to the point.

You busy? it asked.

They were then waiting for longer than they would like, about 3 minutes, before her cell chimed.

Not anymore. Just got back from a trip to grab some wild mushrooms. Sup? the return text read.

"... he just got back to me." Kaia commented as she replied to the text.

Feel like sacrificing some of your mana to help my company? she sent, wondering if he would. She barely knew him, really, so she hoped he'd help, but... for all she knew, something happened recently and he couldn't.

She could hope though. This was the best chance, she was sure. Beyond that, a Remmington would be best.

The response came about 15 seconds later.

Sure, got plenty to spare, lol. the text said.

Kaia reported this to Hal, who nodded in response.

"Tell him to come here." he said, to which she did, saying there'd be a full explanation when he got there.

I'll be there in a couple min. Ash told her.

I'll meet you at the entrance. Kaia responded with before shoving her phone into her pocket and getting to her feet.

"I'm going to go get him." She said simply.

"He said he'll be here in a couple minutes, and not sure he'll make his way through the building without being lost." She added with a laugh. "This place is a maze."

"Never really had one." he admitted. "Haven't talked to Yuki much, or Vaeri. But the odd times I've chatted with YOU it's been cool." he told her.

"Still, if your company can be saved, that's amazing news." he then said with a smile, as Ash walked into the area from the small room used for people to teleport into with mana.

"Yo." he greeted them, as Jake 'smelled' him, and then nodded.

"Yep, it's him." the guard confirmed.

"All right, I assume we're going to Sharp's office?" Ash asked Kaia.

"Well, then. I'm curious to find out how my mana is going to be handy here." he commented.

"Hardly any of those I'm with are mages, they don't really have much mana." She added. "I'm the strongest, and you dwarf me."

"So... if anyone can help, it's you or the Remmingtons. And I don't mean your sisters. Although maybe."

"Apparently there's a pendant for you to grasp and you'll be taken there. What with any luck, once all is said and done, everyone will be returned back to this plane, to the theatre." She added.

"Meaning, I think we're going to head there for it."
