@Wildfire: we ended up finding a church doing a potluck after service. So yay- free food.
And then I got home and put together a scavenger hunt and game.
Once that was over, my mom had swedish meatballs and rice ready for everyone. :)
How was your Easter weekend?

@CooperationIsKey: I'm glad you had a good Easter, but so sorry to hear about the car accident!!! Yikes! Are you two still feeling ok afterwards?

@Koah: lol! - that's one way to do it! XD <3 It sounds like your holiday went well. I'm glad! :3

@Totalanimefan: That is rather unusual weather! It's not completely unheard of, but definitely on the weird side of things :3

Other than dealing with the physical "blah" after-effects of too much food... with too much salt (ham, bacon) and too much fat (bacon, brie cheese, cake)... and too much wheat (donuts, crackers, cake)... my weekend was fine, thanks. Between the food "Jabba the Hutt" feeling and not enough real sleep, I spent yesterday playing video games just because I couldn't quite get myself to move off the couch. XD (yeah, definitely feeling sluggish!)

Today, I'm not sure what I want to do yet - I'm waiting for the coffee to kick in, tbh. It looks like it's overcast outside -which we desperately need- but that will kind of nix the idea of going someplace outside. And, at least right now, I don't feel like driving or dealing with people on that level.

@Purpsy: lol... I suppose. It wasn't like I usually cook for holidays. This was pretty simple, actually. But it was yummy :3

How are you?

@Wildfire: I see :3 I've had feasted a lot of food as well! Mostly because two of the people here went to some parties last week and brought home a shit ton of leftovers lel

Well at the moment I'm laying down my bed already and have no plans on getting up anytime soon. Prob gonna play some casual games on my phone. How about you?

@Purpsy: Today, I am just chilling out, and have plans for dinner out tonight. I kinda feel like being outside, but it's overcast and I don't feel like driving, or dealing with people iRL, tbh... so it's turning in to a video game kind of day.

... I just realized how my last post sounded... I DO usually cook for the holidays, but I usually cook much more food, and much more complicated/detailed things than what I put on the table for Easter Sunday...

Unfortunately, I think the ham has been giving me headaches for some reason :(

@Wildfire: Lel I think simple dinners are alright during holidays as long your spending it with family ^^
You didn't word it wrong... I think ouo;

Is honestly warming up really fast here this week and is curing my seasonal depression real fast. Is nice to see the sun shining again *sniffs*
Oh no, did you take meds for it? I never knew ham can cause such headaches.

@Wildfire: Well I seem to be okay, but, probably owing to previous injuries from a previous wreck, as well as that she turned her head right as we were struck a second time (we got hit twice), roommate is dealing with some possible whiplash and has been directed to go to the ER in the morning to get checked out. Hopefully it's nothing serious!

@Purpsy: It's probably a preservative or something else along those lines in the ham that's giving me the slight headache. It's not severe enough to warrant taking medication. Thanks, though. And yes, there's nothing wrong with a simple, straight-forward meal for the holidays... or for the family, regardless of holidays or regular days! :3

I'm happy to hear that the sunshine is peeking out up there and that it's helping you deal with the seasonal depression. :3

@CooperationIsKey: oh no! I'm sorry to hear that about your roomie and the accident - I hope it's nothing severe! ... the ER to get checked out, though? That seems... a little odd to me, tbh. Why wouldn't she be directed to go through more regular channels - primary doc, specialist, whatever - instead of going to the ER??

I'm glad to hear that you seem to be ok, though. I wish the best for your roommate :3

@Wildfire: Ah I see :3
I sort of get that too when I eat very oily foods. It just gives me weird headaches for a bit.
Yeah it's going to be sunny for the rest of the week it is spring after all :3

@Wildfire: Her doctor refused to see her and told her to go to the ER. However she had lunch plans with someone who was leaving to go out of state today so she pushed it off to tomorrow. And thank you. <3

@Purpsy: Yeah... that. XD It sucks though... especially if you're not expecting something you're eating to trigger that response.
I'm glad you're getting a dose of sunshine! Down here, we're hoping for rain... it has been far too long since it has rained... at all.

@CooperationIsKey: ...errr... ok. That just doesn't sound like an "ER" type of visit. I mean ER is supposed to be for real emergencies ... and since she's apparently not in immediate danger.... /shrug/ At least she's not feeling badly enough to rush. I hope there's nothing severe going on.

@Totalanimefan: let's hope it's temporary... High temps there over the summer are not good.

Awwww...I hope you're not getting sick!

@Wildfire: Ah yikes then I really hope it rains soon :/
But next week is going to hit single digits again... just normal typical canadian weather. Is a bit abnormal that it warm up so soon usually I feel this kind of warmth by the end of may through june.

@Totalanimefan: Time will tell what the weather will be this year. It's always rather variable and seems to come in waves of "hot here/cool there, crazy hurricane season/no storms" :/ Let's hope it's a fairly comfortable summer for everyone! :3

@Purpsy: Yeah... and ironically, a couple hours south of us apparently just got a lot of rain that's just sitting, which isn't the best either. LOL - I know exactly the kind of warmth you're talking about now! Yeah, that's a bit much for this time of year...

@Purpsy: Good morning. Again. XD

My day yesterday was fine, thank you - I got breakfast, did a couple of errands, took care of a few things, and hung out with hubby... a basic Sunday, really. It could have been more productive, but... meh. I think we needed the down time. :3

Right now, I'm trying to figure out the details of my day (well, after the coffee kicks in). I was selected to do Jury Duty today, but my group of candidates wasn't needed, so I'm off from that particular responsibility. I should probably get groceries at some point (or maybe I'll just take something out of the freezer) and... uuhhh... I dunno what the day has in store ATM.

But it rained! After months of absolutely no rain, it actually rained here last night! It was an actual storm, with low rumbles of thunder and some lightning, and it lasted more than 10 minutes! My dog wasn't real happy with it, but we really needed it (still need it, but this is a start)...

@Wildfire: I guess they sent her to the ER because they needed to do imaging. I dunno. But the good news is the hardware from her previous injury is intact! The bad news is there's a 'nodule' on her lungs apparently. She's a smoker so that's especially alarming. :I At least I think she's finally going to actually quit smoking? ._.;;

In other news, yay rain! It was nice to hear thunder for a change. :3
