"Doesn't matter. You still did it. Whether you wanted to do so or not does not negate that you deserve thanks." She then said.

"And... I'm not heading out anytime soon. If you're leaving, feel free. But if you're staying, want some food? I'm gonna order in for myself."

Azazel was silent for a moment, before sighing heavily.

"...not sure I CAN leave." he said.

"Which is to say, don't think my conscience will allow it." he clarified.

"Not until I see her up and about, and feeling better." he went on.

"So... I think I'll stay for a while longer."

"I'm ordering in some food. WAnt anything, then?" Anya asked.

"Andcome on, let's let her sleep. Let's get out of here." She added before heading out of the room.

Azazel looked back at Aedan, before following Anya.

"Sure." he said.

"I could eat." he told her.

"Where are you ordering from?" he asked.

"I can find something to eat from anywhere, really." he added with a small shrug.

"I'm really not a picky eater."

"Probably just go get pizza from that pizza joint a couple blocks away." Anya answered honestly.

"It's the easiest, probably. Maybe." She added with a shrugh.

"Not sure... may go with a sub instead, actually." She then commented, thinking about it.

"I see." Azazel responded.

He was then silent again, before sighing yet again.

"....geez." he muttered.

"Aedan's pretty damn tough." he said.

"What she had inside her would have driven anyone else insane." he told her.

"And I mean that literally." he said further.

"Anyone else would have been driven to actual clinical insanity."

Anya just laughed.

"Yeah... see, Aedan has gone through enough bullshit to harden her head to almost anything." She commented.

"Which, of course, has it's downsides.... like how sdhe tends to be an idiot." She then said with a laugh

"Huh?" Azazel muttered.

"An idiot?" he asked.

"What do you mean?" he asked her further, before thinking about it.

".......hm." he mumbled.

"Wait, do you mean like this sort of incident?" he asked her.

"Is this kind of thing common?"

Anya shook her head.

"Not really. It's more because... she tends to run her mouth." She answered.

"If she's against someone... she tends to really... well, as I said, she tends to run her mouth and gets herself into loads of trouble." She stated.

"So yeah, she's a bit of an idiot."

"....I see." Azazel muttered.

"That... doesn't surprise me." he told her.

"She does seem to be that type." he went on.

"...it suits her, though." he then admitted.

"I can't see her as any other way..."

"And you barely know her." Anya commented with a light laugh.

"Shye's really easy to love, once you get past the dead part of her, that is." She then said with a light laugh.

"Regardless, I'm gonna go grab food. Want anything?"

"Well, getting past that is... pretty easy for me." Azazel replied.

"And yeah, sure." he said.

"I haven't really eaten much in the past couple of days." he admitted.

"Just let me know where you're ordering from."

"As I said, pizza joint a couple blocks away. WE passed it on the way here." Anya told him.

"So ... if you want pizza, lemme know what you want on it. If you want a sub, they've got... pretty much anything. Lemme know what you want and I'll let you know if they have." She added with a light laugh.

"It's a small place, but damned if they aren't stocked."

"Heh, fair enough." Azazel responded.

"Hm." he then muttered.

"Give me their version of a spicy meat pizza." he told her.

"And yes, I DO mean spicy." he said further.

"I like my food to burn." he added with a small smirk.

Anya just laughed.

"Gotcha." She said before heading out.

It was the next day before Aedan made her way downstairs, completely unaware that anyone else was there. When she saw Anya crashed on the couch, and Azazel on the chair, she just sighed before making her way over to the woman and kicking the leg that was hanging over.

"Get your ass up." She stated. Anya was slow to wake before grinning.

"Mama, I'm tired. I don't wanna go to school today..." she whined, although it wasn't hard to tell that it was all in fun.

"You better not have brought any of your damned spiders here again. Anya." Aedan warned.

"Because I swear, if I have to move because they made my place unsafe again, it will be your head I fry this time."

Azazel, meanwhile, had woken up to hear that conversation.

"............" he was silent for a moment, before quietly slipping out of the chair.

He got to his feet, and started to slowly make his way out of the room.

'Maybe I should go.' he thought.

'Not sure how serious this conversation's gonna get.'

"Stop." Aedan stated simply, pointing to Azazel.

"Don't run away because you're believing you're in trouble. I'm just chewing this one out because she's forced me to move in the past - multiple times." She added.

"Hey, I brought no spiders this time." Anya said, her hands up slightly.

Azazel froze when he heard her address him.

"..." he was silent for a moment, before sighing.

"Right." he said.

"So... uh... Aedan..." he muttered.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Like... in comparison to... before..." he clarified.

"Like I've actually got a means of life." Aedan answered after a moment.

"Why'd you let it get so bad?" Anya asked.

"I didn't. I was fine, had a rough night, tried again, then it went full blown. There was no gradiation to it or whatever." Aedan answered.

He then sat down and thought about it, concentrating all his mental energy into it.
