"...ah..." Azazel stuttered.

"I... uh..." he stammered further.

"I was... going to make the argument of it being a case of my being a... well... y'know... a... demon..." he said quietly.

"But something tells me that won't change your response." he went on.

"So... I won't even try to argue." he finished, looking around.

"I don't know." Azazel replied.

"Probably." he told her.

"Just need to wait and see." he muttered.

"Hm." he mumbled further.

"I sense a rune forming..." he told her.

"Might be our ticket back to the surface..."

"Mm." Azazel muttered.

"Yeah. It does that." he told her.

"Kind of its thing." he said further, before grasping the side of his head.

"Ngh." he growled.

"I know there's a rune forming somewhere." he said.

"But I'm having trouble locating the specific location... must be the instability of my power currently."

"....K." Azazel responded.

"That works." he said.

He then looked in the direction that Vanessa had walked off in... and went in the opposite direction.

"Come on." he said.

"The less we see of HER, the better..." he mumbled.

"............." Azazel was silent as he heard that.

"Then let's hope we don't run into the boss." he said.

"Just... overall." he went on.

"Well... okay, especially for the two of us, but... oh, whatever." he muttered.

"Let's just say that I suppose we both have reason to not see her..."

"Yeah." Azazel replied.

"The boss is female." he told her.

"Has been for a very long time." he went on.

"And... well... just... yeah. She's not pleasant, most of the time." he said further.

"...I think we're getting closer, too." he then added.

"GAH!" Azazel shouted, as he rushed over to where she was.

"Damn it, no!" he cursed.

"AEDAN!" he yelled, as he fell to his hands and knees and extended his hand out.

He grabbed Aedan by her wrist, despite knowing what the shadow was, and started to pull.

"Shitshitshitshitshit!" Azazel cursed.

"Ohhh, not good, not good..." he muttered, as he got to his feet and hefted Aedan onto his back.

"Got... to get... to that rune." he said as he started to trudge.

"Aedan, hang on!" he told her.

"Stay with me!"

He continued to trudge, before he saw the rune in question, and the spirits of the coven members that had been sucked down to Hell gathering around it.

"...guess those that survived are trying to bring back the ones that were dragged down here." he commented.

"Perfect." he said.

"Least I know where this'll take us." he went on.

He then started to head towards it, just for the members to look over at them and glare.

Azazel was frozen stiff from fear when he heard the voice.

He then shook his head quickly, and swiftly made his way towards the rune.

The members looked ready to pounce, but they were suddenly thrown back, and pinned to the ground by an unknown and unseen force.

"...I REALLY don't envy you guys." he muttered, before taking a deep breath and stepping into the rune.

After a few seconds, of some stomach-twisting travelling, the two of them appeared in the middle of a scorched area, where the building they were in had once stood.

"...it's the interlopers!" one of the cult members exclaimed.
