Sierra let out a sharp breath as she was thrown agains the wall.

"Ha." She laugh.

"Ha. As. If." She told him, her tone practicallyu spitting in his face. She was trying to hide how weak she felt from that. The body really was frail, and that impact really did prove it to her. Her head wouldn't stop spinning for the moment.

Oh damn... I may have bitten off more than I can chew now.

The soldier continued to try and interrogate her for another few minutes, getting violent each time, and she felt like the body was on the verge of just shattering right there.

But, eventually, they started to haul her off to a van.

"Fine." he said.

"We'll get it out of you." he told her.

"One way or another!"

"Nope." Sierra stated, somehow managing to keep strength to her voice. Somehow.

the ride in the van was as unpleasant as always. They kept trying to get answers out of her, but she refused to budge. IT was actually quite easy, considering the fact that she hadn't received treatment anywhere. She had died.

But she wasn't going to tell them that, of course.

Every time she refused, she was abused... and she could feel it.

The body was still frail... and each hit she took felt like it would literally break her.

But, they finally reached their destination, and she was thrown out of the van, the landing hurting her quite a bit.

"On your feet." they ordered.

"NOW." he finished, kicking her in the ribs.

Sierra felt at least one rib snap with that impact, but instead of crying out, she bit the pain back and got to her feet. She wasn't going to give them a reason to kill her now, after all.

If anything, she knew she'd die, and it would be painful... but not here, not yet.

She was led to the same room as before, and thrown in. She tripped over her feet and landed on the ground, hard. She couldn't get up this time either, was having a hard time breathing, and that along was getting in the way.

She heard the door on the other end of the room open, and footsteps come in.

Jack was there now.

At thes ame time, the one that had thrown her in there stepped up and was standing over her.

Sierra just smirked.

"Really?" She asked, ignoring the pain as best she could.

"You really do believe that, don't you? That's the scarily pathetic thing." She added.

"I'm not sure what went wrong in your upbringing, I don't know where your Mother failed you, but ... she did.

"How else do you explain you being so fucked up?"
Sierra asked after a moment.

"Because, seriously. It's a pathetic thing."The closer that Jack got to them, the more she was trying to incite his anger. Maybe... just maybe... this would work now. Maybe now would be the final straw.

There was no way to know for sure, though.

His expression seemed to show that he'd snapped.

"SHUT IT!" he yelled.

And with that, his anger got the best of him.

He lifted up his foot slightly... and slammed it down, right on her chest, right above her rib cage, right above her heart.

"SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH." he ordered, stamping down again.

Sierra let out a cry with the first, but he didn't break through the bones. She was all right. That just hurt. She looked over toward Jackson, her ethereal eye colour piercing into his own. It was a plea for help.

When the second stomp came down, she felt her sternum break.

The third crushed the organs behind it. Her heart included.

The last thing Jackson saw from her, if any of it got through, was the familiar ethereal purple eyes that he'd seen more and more as of late.

Jackson froze when he saw the purple eyes.

He froze, but quickly started to shake and quiver.

"N.... N... N..." he stammered, causing the one that had stomped down on Sierra to look over.

"What are you doing now!?" he exclaimed.

"N... N.... No..." Jackson said.

"ExCUSE me!?" the man growled.

"........." Jackson was just silent again, before he let out a scream. A scream that nobody in that room had ever heard before. Not even Sierra.

He then ripped off his gloves with his teeth, formed his hands into fists, and started punching the guard around him, in their faces. Which, in this case, meant that the areas his fist touched would turn to stone... and then be promptly shattered from the force of the punch.

From where Sierra was, standing off to the side, she couldn't help but let out a cry of delight as she watched Jackson retaliate. It seemed that her plan, it had actually worked.

She'd chipped away at the shell he'd had around him, at the partition he had within his own head, until there was enough of a crack that he could honestly see what was around him.

As he was subsequently dealing with the guards there, she just watched before feeling her own existence flicker.

That was never good.

And she had nowhere to go for the moment, either.

Shit.. She thought as she watched Jackson.

. . . calm down... let me in... she added with a mental sigh. She knew that she couldn't 'room' with anyone that was... as unstable as one could really argue that Jackson was for the moment. It wouldn't do her any good, but at the same time, she knew that she was pushing her limits. Apparently being in that body hadn't 'recharged' her time out of one. Which she found a bit odd, but at the same time wasn't worrying about it.

If anything, she probably died back in the square, and just managed to keep the body alive until now as she'd needed it.

Jackson took down all of the guards around him, and just as the one that had been in charge was about to radio for assistance, the mutant slammed his fist into his face, effectively decapitating him. Messily, but still.

He then looked around once more, before his eyes rested on the body that Sierra had just been in.

This was followed by yet another bloodcurdling scream, but this one more sad. It contained more agony and loneliness.

He then collapsed to his hands and knees, and started to sob uncontrollably.

Sierra was silent for a moment before sighing.

"Jackson..." She saidq uietly, and he could hear her voice, barely, echoing around him.He could almost feel her hands on his shoulders even, since they had gotten to be so close over time. She wasn't daring to just 'step in' without any invite. She cared too much fro him, and she had no idea if he could handle having someone else there, either.

Jackson was silent, and looked around suddenly.

"Huh!?" he exclaimed.

"What!?" he said, still sounding a bit unstable.

"Prove this to me!" he demanded.

"Please! Show me I'm not just going crazy again!" he pleaded.

Again. He said 'again'.

Which showed her just how bad things had gotten in the past.

Sierra was silent before shaking her head and just getting onto her knees behind him. She leaned against his back and wrapped her arms around him. He could feel it, he could feel her embrace, and it was far more real than it had been anytime in the past.

"Jack, I'm here." She said quietly. As she felt herself being welcomed into him. She had an invitation into it, at the very least.

"Don't worry, I"m here."She told him

She soon found herself in the same kind of area she'd been in before, but colour was starting to return to the place.

And that's when she saw 'Jackson'.

"....Sierra?" he asked.

"I... is... is it... really you?" he asked her.

"After all this time...?"

Sierra just smiled softly.

"It is." She told him.

"We'll reconnect after getting the hell out of here, hey?" She then asked.

"I know a safe place we can go."

"Well, I know a way out of here." Jackson replied.

"But I'll need to be quick, and stealthy." he said.

"They won't like to see me goin' about on my own." he warned.

"Where have you been?" he then asked her.

"I could have sworn you were dead." he said, before pausing.

"Like... DEAD-dead."

"Then I'll leave that up to you." Sierra said.

"and where have I been? Around. Being stoned by you several times, too. That... is surprisingly, not as horrible a way to die as I thought it was." She admitted.

".....so it WAS you in those bodies..." Jackson replied.

"And no. It's not." he told her.

"Well... I mean, it's certainly unnerving." he then said.

"It's just not... really painful." he went on.

"Of course, it depends on where I start. It's worse to feel it from the feet up."
