Sharp continued to tick and type away at his computer, before looking at Rowena and nodding.

"Don't worry." he said.

"I understand her need for the time off. Safety of all and such." he told her.

"I can have someone out there for the weekend, no issues. Probably Friday evening, actually." he said further.

"If she fits our criteria, then it will be beneficial for us, as well as her." he continued.

"Thank you for coming to me about this."

"Ah." Sharp said, before handing her a business card.

"If you can get her home address, would you mind letting me know, whether it be via email or call?" he asked her.

"It may be best if we can meet her at her home, as opposed to barging in on her workplace." he reasoned.

"Other than that, leave the rest to us." he said.

"We'll make sure things don't get out of hand."

"Duly noted." Sharp responded.

"Thank you once again." he said.

"If you wish to see your niece, I can let her know you're here." he then offered. "Or you can surprise her with your visit." he said further.

"But if you wish to leave, then happy travels." he wished her.

The door was answered by Ash after a few moments.

"Oh, hey Mom." he greeted her, stepping out of the way so she could enter.

"Weren't you just here?" he then asked, thinking about it.

"You forget something?" he asked her.

"Or is something up?"

"Who is it?" Lindsay called from inside.

"Me again." Rowena answered.

"Come in." Lindsay then said.

When Rowena opened the door and stepped inside, she saw that Rene was there as well, and they looked to both be trying to figure out a way to help Averie.

Rene then looked over towards her, and smiled slyly.

"Well, hello again, Rowena." he greeted her.

"You're looking as ravishing as ever." he said, his tone as smooth as he could make it.

Rene's expression changed, and Rowena could see his ego had been deflated.

"Oh?" Lindsay then asked suddenly.

"Already dealt with? How do you mean?" he asked her.

"Ah, yes." Rene said, snapping back to reality.

"Yeah, how did you deal with it?" he asked her.

"Sounds like Averie's boss is hellbent on stonewalling this." he commented.

"Huh." Lindsay muttered.

"That's good to know." he said.

"Never would have considered going to Hal Sharp." he admitted.

"Same here." Rene said.

"But hey, if this works, it works." he commented.

"And it has long-term benefits as well. Gets her away from that toxic boss of her's if she gets a new job." he then reasoned.

"Indeed." Lindsay agreed.

-A few days later-

It was Saturday morning, and Averie was getting ready to head to work. She was NOT looking forward to it, as her boss's attitude towards her had seemed to get even WORSE, ever since their minor altercation.

She was seriously contemplating getting physically violent with him, but before she could ponder it any longer, she heard a knock on her front door.

It was strong and assertive, but it wasn't forceful.

If she could attribute any sort of adjectives to it, it would be... authoritative and/or formal.

When she answered the door, she saw a male standing there that she didn't know.

Aside from his strange green-coloured hair that was hidden beneath a fedora-like hat, he was dressed very formally, in business attire, with a lanyard around he neck, an ID badge attached to the end.

'Illias', she was able to make out on it.

She also couldn't help but smell something on him. Something almost... reptilian, or scaley, at the very least.

"Officer Averie Winchester?" the man addressed her.

"My name is Illias." the man replied.

"I'm here on behalf of the branch of law known as Special Unit 3." he told her.

"My superiors wish to offer you a position at our company." he continued.

"This is, of course, barring an interview and assessment of your skills and capabilities, of course, but because you have been selected, and because the location is in San Diego, you will need to take some time off from your current job." he then explained.

"We have also received word that your own superior officers are being... somewhat inflexible... so I am here to accompany you to work, to serve them the proper papers, myself, personally." he went on.

"Is this all right?" he asked.
