".....huh?" Jaden muttered, hearing the knock.

He made his way to the door and looked out the peephole... only to see nobody there.

"Hm." he mumbled.

He then unlocked the 6 different locks that were on his door, before opening it slightly.

"Yes?" he asked, peering out.

"Who's there?"

Jaden raised his eyebrow as he looked at the child.

He then looked up and down the hallway, before looking back at the girl.

"Right." he said.

"If you're a draydin, this is the place you're looking for." he told her, opening the door a little more.

"But I can tell you are." he said.

"You smell... earthy."

"........" Jaden was silent as he noticed the shape the girl was in.

"Uh..." he stammered as he shut the door and made his way over towards her.

"Do... you want a cup?" he asked her.

"And... are you all right?" he then asked.

"You really look beat all to hell." he commented. "And that can't feel good."

Jaden raised an eyebrow when she turned and looked at him.

"Uh..... huh." he said.

"Right." he muttered.

"Well, firstly, you're going to take a bath." he told her. "If you're going to be under my care, I might as well make SOME kind of effort to keep your health and hygiene up to snuff." he reasoned.

"And are you hungry?" he then asked her.

"I can make up something while you're getting yourself clean."

".....right." Jaden muttered again.

"Come on, then." he told her.

He then led the child to his bathroom, grabbing some towels along the way.

"Here you go." he said.

"I assume you know how to work everything and stuff." he told her.

"...one second, though." he then said, before disappearing for a moment. He returned with a terrycloth bathrobe that was clearly too big for her, but not by a WHOLE lot.

"Thing shrunk in the wash for some stupid reason. I never ended up tossing it." he explained. "You can wear it after you're done in the bath."

Jaden looked over towards her, and sighed.

"You look better." he commented.

"At any rate, if you're not hungry or thirsty or whatever, feel free to watch TV or do whatever you want." he said.

"Oh yeah, your room is the one with the green door." he then told her.

"I had been using it as storage for... things..." he muttered, looking off to the side. "...but I cleared it out as quickly as I could." he said further.

"There's a drawer in there, a chair, a desk, and an air mattress with blankets and pillows on it." he told her.

"It should do for now, until I get a proper bed in there."

Jaden blinked a couple of times when she finally spoke.

"Ah, you CAN talk." he said.

"Was wondering if you were mute or something, but you just didn't want to talk to me." he commented.

"And you can tell I'm a halfie, can you?" he asked crossing his arms over his chest. "Right then." he muttered.

"Yeah, I stored blood in there." he confirmed.

"A few other things too, but mostly blood." he told her.

"I assume the smell won't be an issue?" he asked her.

"I figured as much, given what you are." Jaden replied.

"I was merely making sure." he said.

"And I do, eh?" he then asked, in response to her comment about plants.

"All right, what do you suggest?" he asked her further.

"You ARE the resident expert, after all."

"I'll go plant shopping in the morning." Jaden responded.

"I assume you'd like one for your room?" he asked.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm assuming you mean I need plants spread around the apartment, which is fine." he then said, pausing a moment.

"But would you like one in your own room?" he reiterated.

"And if so, you have any preferences, or something you want to avoid?" he then asked.

Jaden raised an eyebrow again.

"I see." he said.

"Very well." he told her.

"I will get some pots, fill them with dirt, and place them around the apartment." he told her further.

"....so..." he then muttered.

"Looks like we're living together." he said.

"And I'll bet you'll be spending a lot of time on the roof." he went on.

"There's a small rooftop garden up there."
