(Owo oh wow, if you wanted to I'm sure you get the other outfits too x3 I just enough tickets to buy the Io outfit)
Maddie sat down on the bed as Clint brought her other bags, and had moved them into the bed as well. First, she opened up the large bag from the clothing store and neatly folded the clothes and set them on the bed, off to the side. Maybe she should've gotten some hangers.. Did she even have anywhere to put her clothes? She sighed quietly and blinked when Clint came back with some books. "Oh, cool. Thanks." She said casually. She smirked some and shook her head lightly. "Not a fan, but I don't mind it once in a while." Maddie explained with a light shrug.
Forums Role Playing Forsaking the Past
(Hmmm I probably could. I think I'll keep saving up a little while longer. So you only have the Io outfit?)
Clint chuckled, "Then I guessed correctly. Umm...if you ever want to r-read a horror book the only one I can recommend is 'Pet Sematary' and it's not even scary. Just creepy. It belonged to my father so if you ever want to borrow it just promise not to drop it in a lake or something." He said and gave her a small smile. "I'll uhh...go ahead and get started on dinner. I'll call you when it's done." Clint said to her before leaving the books with her and walking out to his kitchen where he gathered some ingredients and began to prepare.

(Yep, it's really the only one I wanted x3 if I can manage, I might get the others before the event is over)
She blinked. Pet Cemetery? Wait, wait, wait.. Now she was certain this was the same Clint as all those years ago. "H-hey.. Did you ever bring it to school as a kid, to read it?" She asked curiously, catching him right before he left the room. Well, maybe not read it.. But maybe she was remembering right. Hopefully.

(To be honest, Io is my fave event npc. He's adorable. lol)
"Hmm?" Clint looked back at her, having heard her question. "Yeah I did take it to school every day to read it between class and stuff." He answered her with a nod of his head. "It was a really cool book and I wanted to give it a chance so I asked my dad if I could borrow it. I was not disappointed and tears may or may not have been shed." He added with a smirk.

(I know! <3 )
Her multicolored blue eyes widen slightly at the answer. She was right! A small smirk tugged at her lips and she couldn't help giggling quietly. She caught him reading it once, and she may have teased him. "Do.. Do you remember ever having a girl ask you about it?" She asked hesitantly. Granted, her question wasn't very specific, but maybe she'd be onto something.

Clint raised an eyebrow. "A girl ask me about it?" He repeated. He had to think back. Or try to, but it was hard. There were so many girls at school and he wasn't ever popular with the ladies. So if one did talk to him at all, he would remember. It took a while but he eventually nodded. "Yeah, that was soooo long ago though mads." He whistled. "If a girl talked to me about anything, I was lucky." He said and laughed softly. "But to answer your question, yes I vaguely remember a girl asking me about the book I was reading." Clint answered her.
Heh. He was right about that, and she felt silly for even bringing it up. She was probably one of the few girls he actually talked to. Those childhood memories of them were precious to her though, so of course she remembered. "Yeah you're right.. I'm being silly." She vaguely smiled and went back to going through her bags to see what she'd needed pretty immediately. Normal people didn't usually think that far back in time.
"I don't think you're being silly mads. I think it's really sweet that you actually remember that. It was many years ago, you clearly have better memory than I do. You were always fun to talk to mads, even when you were this tiny." He gestured with his fingers how small she was back in elementary school and chuckled. He was being playful with her again. "Sorry, I'll stop and get that dinner ready for real this time." Clint laughed softly and headed back to the kitchen to continue on their dinner.
Maddie was quiet as he turned and left to start on dinner. She was fun to talk to..? Was he teasing her, or being serious? After she was sure he was in the kitchen, she plopped over on the bed and laid down, curling up in a ball. It was foolish to think normal people could remember that far back.. Why did he have to tease her about it? It hurt.. They had new memories, and could always make more.. So, why was trying to cling to their past selves? Why couldn't she let go of the past? Either as children, or even adults, Clint had found his way into her world. Only now, she didn't know how far he was willing to follow her. Would he be willing to fall down the rabbit hole, for her sake? Her thoughts slowly faded as the Maddie fell asleep.
Clint continued working on dinner for the two of them. Hopefully Maddie liked it. Why was he so set on making a good impression? It wasn't that he liked her or anything...of course not. He just always worried he'd make something someone else didn't like. What if she was allergic? He shook those negative thoughts from his head and stirred the food carefully, adding the sauce and stirring some more. Lowering the flame, he took this time to set the table for two then walked back to the stove to check on the food. It was really quiet in the house, maybe Maddie was reading one of the books he had given her. Clint kept his mind focused on cooking and when he was done, he shut the stove off and carefully served them both each a plate of food. Setting the empty pan back on the stove, he grabbed two empty glasses and set them down on the table then added some grated cheese to the top of their food and some pepper for taste. It looked really good and smelled good too. "Maddie, dinner is ready!" He called, pouring himself a glass of milk. "What would you like to drink?" He asked.
Maddie slept until she heard Clint call her. She woke and sat up, stretching some. "Water's fine." She called back to him. She shuffled through some of her stuff, put what needed to be in the bathroom in the bathroom cabin. She took out Clint's toothbrush and toothpaste and set it aside in the bed for now, before going and joining him. Maddie walked down the hallway, covering her mouth to yawn again. "I sorta fell asleep.." She murmured, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly before going and sitting at the table. Whatever it was, it smelled really good!
Clint poured Maddie a glass of water then looked at her when she spoke. "You fell to sleep?" He asked, worry written all over his face. "A-and...did you sleep well?" He asked curiously, taking his seat at the table then. She must have slept fine since she didn't look to be in a panic. Still, he couldn't help but worry. "I made pasta...I hope that's okay." He said, poking at his food a little. It was a habit of his. "It has chicken and shrimp on it. I wanted something warm today since it looks like it might rain again any day now." He explained. He probably didn't need to explain, but he felt like he should anyway.
Maddie nodded lightly when he asked if she slept well. "It was a relatively nice nap, yes." She said, offering him a small smirk incense didn't smile all that often. Maddie glanced down at the dish and poked at it as well, before taking a bite from her fork. Chicken and shrimp pasta before rain came, nice. It was tasty enough as well . She chewed and swallowed and nodded lightly. "It's pretty good, and it was a good idea." She complimented his cooking and continued to eat. She blinked as if thinking something and. glanced at him, swallowing a mouthful of her dinner. "Oh yeah, you mentioned having work tomorrow right?" Maddie asked curiously .
"That's good. I'm glad that you were able to enjoy a nap. It's been a long day, so it makes sense that you would be tired." Clint began, smiling at her when she complimented his cooking. "Thank-you, that's really nice of you. Good to know you agree. Warm food just tastes better when it's about to rain or get cold out." He said and took a small bite of his pasta then. She mentioned him working tomorrow and he nodded then sipped some milk. "Yeah, I have to go to work tomorrow. It might be a busy day, it might be a slow day. Usually they are slow days though. But...even though all I really do is get messy in there, it's still a really good paying job." He explained, and wondered why she was asking. "Why do you ask?" He asked her softly.
Maddie liked seeing him smile, it meant he wasn't worrying about her or other things. It made her feel like she did something right. She happily ate, and listened to him talk a little bit about his job. He worked on cars, right? If she remembered the place she first met him the other night. She shook her head some and swallowed the food in her mouth before taking a sip from her water. "No reason really.. I was just making sure I was remembering right. " She said casually, taking a bite from her fork.
"You'll be fine with being alone here for a few hours?" He asked. Clint wasn't treating her like a child, he just was worried. After what happened when she slept the first time, he was afraid of leaving her alone. But he also didn't want to be the guy to watch her every move. He needed to trust her. She should be fine as long as she stayed here. No one would find her here and if anyone did decide to stop by, all she had to do was lock herself away in her room and answer to no one. "S-sorry if I seem nosy. I just don't want to be at work and then something bad happens to you..." He admitted finally.
Maddie blinked when he spoke, just taking the last nite of her pasta dish. She swallowed, and took a drink from her water. "I'll be fine. I won't open the door, or leave. I might just stay in my room and read honestly." She said, offering him a small smirk. She sighed some and shook her head. "You're not being nosy, you're just worried.. Clint, I feel the same way you know. I don't want to hear something happened to you at work.." She murmured quietly, setting her hands on the table. "Let me..peek inside your future.. Please?" Maddie said to him softly, sharing a look of worry.
Clint listened to her speak, she was worried about him too? That was surprising and sweet actually. No one ever really told him that they worried about him. He was sure they did but it was nice to actually hear it for once. Maddie wanted to peek into his future and he was both excited and worried. What would she see? Was he going to die? No, but maybe something bad would happen to him at work tomorrow. Maybe not. He coudn't be too sure. Slowly, he finished up his dinner and sipped his milk. He would let her, because he trusted her and he believed these things. "Okay Maddie, you can sneak a peek." He said, holding out his hand to her as if it were a palm reading.
Maddie watched him for a moment before actually giving him a smile, then glanced down at his opened hand and nodded lightly. She slowly placed both a hand under his as if to hold it still, and slowly traced his palm with a finger of the other after closing her eyes. 'I just want to see him at work tomorrow.. Nothing more. Will he be safe?' She thought to herself silently, focusing on just that. It felt like this went on for several minutes before her eyes opened again, partially. They seemed different though, distant as she allowed herself entry to his future. It was important he didn't distract her. She didn't really see anything yet, involving him getting hurt or apprehended by a member of the church.. That was a relief, but she had only just started.
Clint was quiet and remained still. He focused on his breathing and looked at her. He watched what she was doing with curiosity. If he knew anything about palm readers it was that you never spoke unless you were spoken to. And you always had to tell them the truth, you couldn't lie. If you lied, they'd know and it usually pissed them off. So Clint waited patiently. He wondered what she was seeing. Looking at her face, he noticed her eyes were different. She was zoned out. Really focusing on his future for tomorrow. It was impossible to tell if she was seeing something good or something bad. Her face was expressionless but that only made this whole thing even more exciting.
