"No worries, Desiree." he said.

"I'm glad everything turned out all right with the birthing." he told her.

"It was messy." Jaden muttered.

"But thanks to Rene and his previous knowledge, Desiree was actually in no real danger, it seems. Not this time, anyway." he went on.

"...and.... for the last time..." he then mumbled, as Darrell approached Desiree.

"I have a sister now!?" he exclaimed to her.

"She's at home right now though." She added.

"We didn't want to risk anything with the mana. So Serenity is looking over her for the moment."

"Yay!" he exclaimed.

"Volume." Jaden said.

Having heard it from both his parents now, Darrell calmed down.

"...." he was then silent, before looking around.

"Gotta pee!" he said, before rushing out of the room.

Nico just chuckled at that.

"We learned something about Darrell, by the way." he then told Jaden and Desiree.

"Doubt it." was Sydney's answer before looking to Jaden.

"Sounds about right. I do wonder if he'll have active mana though" Sydney said with a sigh.

"That Dr. Calder really IS a miracle worker." he chuckled.

"Yeah... I'm a bit on the rough side, but I'm all right." She assured him.

"Rene's amazing. Although, to be fair, he also had a very effective meidc working with him." She added with a laugh.

"I'll say. I had to fill in for Emma." sydney commented.

".Sorry about that." desiree then said, a bit of a sheepish tone to her voice.

"Nahhh. I like working in the med wing, if I'm being honest." was Sydney's response.

"WE should." Nico corrected him.

"Okay, that's fair." Jaden replied.

"But it doesn't have to be immediate." Nico then said.

"It can wait for at least a day or so. Let him see his sister first." he chuckled.

"By the way, what did you decide for a name?" he asked. "I recall you were bouncing through several ideas, but nothing was made concrete."

"It took awhile, but yeah. We did decide on a name." Desiree answered with a chuckle.

"Oh? What'd you two decide upon?" Sydney asked, her voice curious.

"Jordan." Desiree answered.

"I wanted to have it with a y, but Jaden make a very valid point. The reason we wanted a gender neutral name was for resumes and the like in the future. Having it with a y makes it .... well, obviously a female."

"Isn't that right, 'JADEN'?" he asked with a smirk, doing air quotes when he said the name.

". . . Y'know, he still hasn't actually told me what his first name is. He has, however, told me that he uses his middle name, but I still don't know his first." Desiree commented with a shrug.

Jaden then sighed.

"It's Éliás." he told her.

"My real first name is Éliás." he confirmed.

"My full name is is Éliás Jaden B-" he started to say further, before freezing, almost like he was in fear.

"Sherwood." he said.

"My last name is Sherwood. And it was never anything else." he growled.

"Same as Mom." he added.

"It was fun staying here!" he told them.

"Thanks again for looking after him." Jaden said to Sydney and Nico.

"Well, suppose we should go." Jaden said.

"Try and get back to our lives." he went on.

"Oh, and Mom?" he then said to Sydney.

"I think we've told you this, but we're waiting until Jordan's at least a year old." he told her.

Sydney just shrugged, smirking behind the mug of coffee that she was taking a drink from.

"Let's just get out of here. Thank you again, Sydney." Desiree said with a sigh before the three of them made sure they were good, and vanished from where they were in a burst of wind.

She walked into the room, where her brother was sitting, and paused a moment. She let out a small cry of surprise, and ... maybe some fear as she saw her brother.

When he looked over, he saw the little five year old had a surprisingly bright eye, that he was sure she hadn't had before.
