When I mentioned it to my dad once he said that they'd tried to find a substitute who knew Spanish but couldn't, but personally I don't remember them trying that at all. Also, the substitute was our principal's mother, and the principal would just come by to chat to her mom sometimes

To be fair, I think her mother had been a teacher and was qualified to be a substitute teacher... just not for Spanish and especially not for an extended period of time

3/4 of the year we had substitutes 'cause our teacher had to have multiple surgeries

I have heard from people how tried both spanish and portuguese that portuguese sounds more badass
- The reason we have spanish and no portuguese is because there's a large population of spanish speakers and it's much rarer to get portuguese speakers
The forums page wouldn't load at all, and the other tabs loaded a bit slowly too
- Throughout this event the lag's been much worse than usual
