@0v7: Yes, the sealable palettes are helpful if you're working on something for a while. Otherwise, spray the acrylic with water and try sealing the container or whatever with plastic wrap to keep the moisture in.
@sunny: As long as the rats enjoy it? It sounds like you enjoyed your adventures out!
I fell in to a rabbit hole of clothing... trying to sort, reorganize, etc. I wasn't expecting that.
And my son put stuffed clams directly on the rack in the oven (instead of on a baking sheet), so sure enough, some fell apart and was starting to burn in my oven... /eyeroll/ I'm just glad I found that mess when I did - it could have been a lot worse!
And now I'm here again.

Have I really been sorting through clothes for 2 hours?? Wow - I think it's fair to say that it has been a day... and it's only 1pm here.
Why are the days so exhausting lately? And why are they so completely full of distractions?! Why are the distractions so exhausting? Of course, it's currently overcast and semi-rainy, so that's probably not helping with the time flying or the distractions!

@Starlight: I understand completely about Fall and needing sunshine! At least here, we tend to get sunshine all winter - the question becomes "what's too cold to run around in shorts"? - lol!

@Wildfire: I ended up finishing the painting quickly enough, no gummy paint!! Now my entire day's free - might see if my best friend wants to hang out or something.

@0v7: oh congratulations on getting your painting done!
I'm not sure what I"m going to do with the rest of my afternoon. Hanging out with a buddy sounds awesome!

@Wildfire: Thank you!! Someone touched my easel and broke it, so I might have to get a new one - the good news is, it was functional enough for me to make it more vertical - therefore, I didn't have to strain as much.
As for the painting, I had to redo the hands (they're the size of my thumbnail!), plus paint over brown spots that used to be purple paint (not sure how that happened - maybe because I mixed in blue??) - I also refined edges a ton, since I had blocked in colors a bit too quickly initially and didn't notice from exhaustion >w>;;

@0v7: That certainly sounds like the painting process to me! It sounds like you're happy with the end results of your efforts, so that's good! Mixed bag about the easel - unfortunate that it got broken at all, but fortunate that at least you could still use it!
You're reminding me that I really need to get in to my studio and work on some of the paintings I have going on.

@Wildfire: Yeah, I'm pretty sure my cousins broke the easel - they came over here uninvited and without warning, and I guess messed with my painting stuff. The only thing broken is the easel, so I guess that's... better than the painting I was working on being messed up >_>;;;
"The past predicts the state you're in!"
@0v7: Better than opening all your paints, destroying your brushes, etc. that's for sure!!
"The future must know where you've been."
@Wildfire: Yeah, they at least had the foresight to not do that lol. Still kinda mad that they broke my easel - I'm not sure why they messed with it, but now I've gotta replace it. I've had it for a full day and it's already broken. >_>
"The past predicts the state you're in!"
@0v7: geeze. That hurts. I'm sorry. Are these the same cousins that were running amok last week?
"The future must know where you've been."
@Wildfire: Yep - they live in on our property - a stone's throw away from my house, in my uncle + aunt's mobile home. It's... not my favorite thing, to put it lightly.
"The past predicts the state you're in!"
@0v7: Yeah, I bet - especially if they have unfettered access to all your stuff and don't seem to respect it.

@Wildfire: I understand needing to come over here to use the bathroom - they don't have running water - but 95% of the time it's to like, eat our food and play with stuff over here.

I quit Voltra. Read my profile.
@Wildfire: they definitely did enjoy it :D it's good to keep their minds active. I am putting together a dig box for them, I just have to wait for the substrate to be delivered. That should be fun.
