Yep. I decided that I wanted to go opening night for my birthday. Bought the tickets, and making dinner plans. ^w^
Oh - that's pretty cool. Happy early birthday! :3 Are you doing sushi or something else fun for dinner?
Probably not. We aren't sure where we'll be going for dinner.
Thursday is also Cinquo de Mayo isn't it? I'm sure you're sick of that by this point, but it does provide a few extra celebratory opportunities you might not otherwise have - especially in the middle of the week.
I completely forgot about that. It might be a bit on the dangerous side driving.
Yeah, it might. Unfortunately. But some of that likely depends on where you're going and what you're doing. The business crowd is probably going to go out earlier; the college crowd, later... As long as you're aware and don't do anything too silly, you should be ok though... right?
The capital is where people are the worst drivers to be honest.
Well yeah... that makes sense actually. I haven't driven through Tallahassee often, but it sounds like downtown Tampa here (or pretty much any other city I've driven in)... if they're local, they're crazy... and if they're visiting, they're lost and/or confused. It's not a good mix. I'm guessing you're not going to the capitol?
I live in Tallahassee. More or less.
I didn't think you were downtown, though... are you? Or are you a little more on the outskirts? Either way, you could always find a quiet corner or take some back roads...???
We could do that, but a lot of the back roads are closed from construction honestly. The fastest way to the theater will be through some of the more...bar heavy areas.
That's unfortunate. Just keep your eyes open, I guess. There's only so much of life you can ever control anyway...
It's a shame some people don't know their limits, though, and endanger others with their decisions at self-destruction :(

Eh to be fair most people drive drunk around here, or high on something.
Or they're texting or otherwise distracted. *sigh* Yeah... same in some of the denser or more touristy areas here, it seems.
We've been having a big problem with people running red lights here recently. Like yeah they've always done it, but it's just been increasing it seems like.
That sucks. Driving has gotten SO bad the last few years. It's like nobody cares - for themselves, for their investments (cars), for other people... as long as they get what they want... and it's not even like a healthy difference of opinion on something - it's just self-centeredness, imo. It's sad.
Mhmm, I've noticed it too. A friend of mine was recently in an accident because of someone running a red light.
Yeah... there seem to be a lot of people getting rear-ended around here lately and zooming in and out of traffic at absolutely horrendous speeds - the kind of speeds that you can't possibly check the mirrors, etc. I don't get it, tbh... but the traveling road blocks of the tourists blocking all lanes of traffic annoy me too. If people just followed the rules of the road...???
And of course people who don't use their turn signals.
Yeah, but turn signals are kind of pointless if you're zooming through traffic at double the posted speed, threading the needle constantly...
