Of course you're going to meet the neighbors now - because trampoline! LOL! Sometimes people just need an excuse to come out and say hi. :3

turns out our nearest neighbor has 6 foster kids about the same age as our littles. o3o" we'll be seeing a lot of them, I'm pretty sure.
Their eldest kid, that we did not meet, has the same hobby as my husband's career. so I think we'll see a lot of their family.

Hi Sunny! I love your avi! :D

@Koah: thanks! Yours is awesome too, creepy cute!

@Wildfire: I'm good thanks. Not been up to much, I had to wait in for a package. It was rat food and bedding etc.

@sunny: So your rats are having a good day if they got new bedding and food! :3

I'm trying to organize for an early-morning kayaking trip. It has been long enough since I've been out that I really need to think it through. It's tiring - lol. I'll need to run to get some groceries in a bit too. Again. Seems like that's about all I do sometimes - get groceries, put away groceries, cook groceries, clean up dishes.

@Wildfire: I feel your grocery annoyance. My husband is a cow, he burns so much energy. My kids are snack hounds. I eat like a bird.
OH! Kayaking! How fun! :DD

@sunny: Thank you! :p My avi sort of surprised me. I didn't have much intention when I put it together. But I enjoy the outcome. <3
How is your day going?

@Wildfire: I feel ya on the monotonous nature of everyday life. Lol. But kayaking sounds fun! Are you quite experienced?

My rats aren't going to enjoy the new stuff until tomorrow, I'm making them wait.

@Koah: I think it looks great! My day has been fine thanks, a little boring but I can't exactly go out and do something :/ how about you?

@Koah:
@sunny:

Daily life can definitely be monotonous, but when I think about it, as redundant as it can be I'd rather do the majority of the cooking myself (& know what's IN and ON my food and be healthier than I'd likely be otherwise) than to eat boxed or bagged "foodstuffs". Still, sometimes...

Kayaking is fun and I'm looking forward to getting out tomorrow, although it's supposed to be a little on the cool side (try not to laugh - it's going to be about 80*F/27*C tomorrow). I don't get out as much as I'd like because the kayaks we have are just big and heavy enough that it's next to impossible for me to get them on the roof racks of my SUV and I can't rely on my boys or husband to go with me.

@sunny: I'm feeling a bit stuck indoors too. I'm thinking I'll go take a walk around the block or something today. Just to get out and see my new neighborhood.

I spent last year 30 minutes away from town and any good restaurant was 45 min away. So I learned to cook healthier and to have sufficient snacks in the house at all times.
I'm struggling on that front in the new house. Talking about cooking and healthier meals makes me so motivated to get up and do it. I think I'll do beef stew today. C: <3
omg! 80?! Oof! I'm on the west coast, it's cooled down here. I wish it was 80 here. I miss our hot-hot days. Why can't you rely on the boys to help ya out? [if you don't mind me asking].
My brother talked about selling me his one-person kayak. He bought fishing attachments for it and it's rather fancy. I wouldn't mind having it, but i'd have to buy another kayak for my husband. I don't quite feel confident enough to go out on my own yet.

@Koah: It's always a safer bet to be on the water with at least one other person, so yeah... get that kayak for your hubby. Ironically, I have a tandem/hybrid kayak that I'll be selling, but trekking it halfway across the US is probably not something either of us are interested in right now ;) And my boys... well, they're well in to their teenage years and they have their own schedules, responsibilities, etc. now, so they're not always available or willing to help "old mom" out XD Otherwise, the guys in my house can be serious "sticks in the mud" and I'm tired of feeling like I have to kick them in the ass to get them going and to do something fun... so it's often just me (& whatever friend I drag along) on my little adventures, but if me and my friend are both average height and the kayak is heavy(ish), lifting it overhead and securing it is more effort that it's worth sometimes. It's far easier to throw it in the back of a pickup truck - which I don't have.

You noticed I mentioned 80*F as "cool", right...........? XD

@Wildfire: I've been busy with animation, mostly. Drawing frames is hard.
I'm good otherwise, despite my sore arms TwT
How are you??

@Wildfire: My arms are sore 'cause I got stuck with a needle 4 times - 2 per arm lol
Now that I think about it, maybe doing streneous arm work isn't the best idea for my arms rn >_>

I'm glad to hear you're good !!
I have nothing to do other than work on this animation or play video games =v=

@Koah: I hope you have a nice walk, how long have you lived in that neighbourhood?

@Wildfire: that is so cool that you get to kayak! I have only been kayaking once when I was about 10. 27 degrees is cold? LMAO. You would not like it here XD
I am working on another short story, this one about an alternate history where the kingdoms in Anglo Saxon England were never unified, and a Princess flees a throne takeover, and also there's a portal in time and space in Stonehenge. It's... A LOT. lol.

@Wildfire: I understand what you mean about teen guys. I was the youngest in my big family. I had 2 older brothers by about 10 years. They weren't much help. My eldest brother was busy with after school clubs and getting ready for the military. The other brother was absorbed with his friends, i didn't see much of him for a long time.
Yesterday, my neighbor was flabbergasted because I didn't know we had a beach/lake area 15 minutes from our neighborhood. lol!
Also, I can't believe 80 is cool for you guys! How do you handle 100-degree weather?!

I just jumped on the trampoline for 5 minutes and omg, I'm mega out of shape.

@sunny: I moved into my house about 2 months ago. First 2 weeks, I had guests over helping me move in and unpack. After they left, we had a couple of weeks of horrible air quality- so going outside wasn't an option. Now things are cooling down, fresh air and whatnot. I feel like I can get out and go do things now. :O
