If we were talking about a fruit form chili, I bet it wouldn't taste like ground black pepper at all. It would probably be something that just burns your tongue off lol
❝ Hahaha I bet you're right.
My husband and brother-in-law like to take dares on who can eat spiciest stuff.
The middle brother can't handle spice but the youngest is on par with my husband xD
They'd definitely want to try a black pepper if it were real. ❞
❝ I like some spice but you're right, when some people cut back on the spiciness it sometimes ends up with no flavor.
My hubby cooks amazing food but if he has to cut back on his spicy flavors he ends up making it super bland.
I've gotten better handling spice because of him though xD ❞

red chili oil is so good...
my coworkers (er.. pre-pandemic) would have like, spicy luncheons on fridays where they taste-test the hottest hot sauces in existence ALDKFJ I tried a few and some were tasty and others were just painful
❝ I always drop a little dot on my tongue if it's an oil or add on. If it's a sauce on food I do the same xD
Lmao okay well I was going to say "They say that say those who like spiciness are actually masochists... because you can't taste spiciness. It triggers pain in your brain when you eat spicy foods." so not really a joke per say, more of a joke in my family xD ❞
hahahaha I don't think I could ever do that.
"Red chili oil" is also such a vague term.
Some of those red oils are just flavorful and no burn.
Others burn my tongue off .

crying, definitely not the first time I've been told that
I mean isn't it funny that these plants evolved spicy fruits as a mechanism of defense but humans are just like
'mm.. tasty'
hmm I don't know if I've ever had a chili oil that was that spicy, gotta find one now
YEAH umm I tried only a few drops and decided it was above my tolerance but my coworkers go to town on those sauces and then spend the rest of the workday suffering bc of it

Ah I am not a fan of spicy. Not super spicy anyway. I can handle mild spice, like spicy cup o noodles but I'm a baby when it comes to super spicy food. Same with super sour. I can't handle sour at ALL.
I use to eat sour heads and not even flinch. Now as I age I find sour things aren't my cup of tea.
I do like sweets and salty food when I'm stressed out xD Speaking of, I should finish off my icecream before someone else does xD ❞
ahh yeah it's interesting how your tastes change as you get older!
some foods i really disliked as a kid, I've grown to like now
I do like sweets, but I find I'm less tolerant of really sweet things than when I was younger, stuff like cake frosting I don't like as much anymore haha
