Ambulance is on its way right now. Vincent texted back.
Should be there within 5 minutes. I'll find a safe place to teleport, and make my way to the ER in a minute or so. he then sent.
He was then silent, and sighed, before looking at the officer that was there.
"Officer, I'm going to make my way to the hospital." he told them.
"If you need me to make a statement, or anything of the sort, please do not hesitate to call me." he finished, taking his wallet out, withdrawing one of his business cards, and giving it to them.

The officer agreed as they accepted the card before Vincent had left.
By the time that he'd reached the hospital, he found that Anna was tending to Lynne, finding out the details, while Rene made his way over to Vincent to get any information that he happened to have. After that information had been relayed - which admittedly hadn't been much in comparison to what he already knew - Rene went to help. They had to get an xray of her leg to see what the full extent of the damage was.
Rene just sighed as he looked at Lynne.
"See... this is why my faith in humanity is tested." he said to Anna.
"Nobody seems to give a shit about people. And then things like THIS happen." he muttered.
"Anyway, you gonna make sure the bill goes to Vincent?" he asked her.
"Or am I doing it?" he asked further.
"Because we'll never hear the end of it if we eat the cost." he added.
"See... this is why my faith in humanity is tested." he said to Anna.

Anna just laughed.
"I'll do it. I find an unusual satisfaction in charging him exorbitant amounts of money for no reason." She stated.
"And this won't be a cheap venture for him, either." She added before pausing.
"Any idea why it is that he decided to cover the cost of this?"
"Well... firstly, this won't be cheap, yes, but come on. It's Vincent." Rene replied.
"A, he doesn't care about this. B, he'll still be okay after this. He comes from old-world money." he went on.
"And why?" he asked.
"From what I can tell, she doesn't have insurance." he said.
"Seems like she's a visitor from Europe." he went on.
"Plus... he's an old softie. I'm sure something she said to him tugged at the ol' heart strings." he added with a chuckle.
"A, he doesn't care about this. B, he'll still be okay after this. He comes from old-world money." he went on.
"And why?" he asked.
"From what I can tell, she doesn't have insurance." he said.
"Seems like she's a visitor from Europe." he went on.

"Otherwise, I'm gonna do it and probably wake her up with the pain." She added with a smirk, and Rene knew she would do that without issues. Lynne had ended up losing consciousness at some point between leaving Vincent and now.
Rene just rolled his eyes when Anna said what she did.
"And to think. You're a nurse." he muttered.
"But yeah.'' he said.
"I'll sedate her." he told her.
"We need to work delicately, too." he went on.
"We screw this up, and she'll never walk again." he warned, as he started to put Lynne under.
"By the way...." he then said.
"Does she seem... familiar...?" he asked.
"And to think. You're a nurse." he muttered.
"But yeah.'' he said.

"But that facial structure does seem to be be something I've seen before, yeah."[ She agreed after a moment.
"And yes, I'm a nurse that you taught most doctor-y things." She added with a smirk.
"I can do either role, and you damned well know it."
"Yeah, that's what I'm saying." Rene said.
"She strikes some chord of familiarity in me." he told her.
"And yes, I know." he went on.
"I still don't understand why you don't become a doctor, yourself." he continued.
"You'd be one of the best here." he said.
"Hell, you're currently the long-standing top nurse." he added.

"I'm your personal nurse, basically. You managed to set it up that I work with you. Period. End of story." She added before shrugging.
"This just works better overall." She then said before looking at what she needed to, to make sure tha tLynne was all right.
"Wanna grab what I need so I can set this?"
Rene just nodded.
"Sure." he replied.
"And yes, we do work well together." he admitted, as he gathered the tools she'd needed, and wheeled them over towards her. "We ARE family, after all." he reasoned.
He then went back to checking on the anaesthesia, and held up his hand, a bubble of water forming in it, which expanded greatly. He then set it down over Lynne's leg, and nodded.
"All right." he said.
"Let's do this."

Anna nodded before they got to work. She wasn't sure what to expect, concerning anything else. For the moment they were worrying about the leg, since that was quite apparent. Anything more, they'd have to check later.
After the leg was dealt with, Anna looked to Rene.
"So tell me, shall I go charge Vincent now?" She asked with a smirk. "Or do you still need me here?"
Rene looked over Lynne, and nodded.
"I can take it from here." he said.
"So go on." he told her.
"....yup." he then muttered.
"We did some mighty fine work here." he commented, nodding a little once again.

I'll go do what I need to." Anna said with a nod before waving and heading off.
Lynne was unconscious for about 24 hours before she stirred and woke. That wasn't anything too surprising, considering the trauma. They'd ended up needing to give her 1 blood transfusion, due to how she'd lost a fair bit.
She stirred and sat up carefully, noticing that she didn't hurt as much now as she had before. Then again, they probably had her on something for pain, she was sure. She didn't open her eyes, however, and just felt the material in the bed she was in, wondering where she was. After a few seconds, it clicked.
The last thing she remembered had been in an ambulance. So it was pretty simple for her to realize that she was in a hospital.
A few minutes after her realization, she heard the door open.
"Ah." she heard.
"You're awake." the male said.
"Good, good." he said further.
"Tell me, how do you feel?" he asked.
"And I mean overall, specifics, give me all the information you can think of." he went on.
"Oh, and I'm Dr. Calder." he added, introducing himself.
"Ah." she heard.
"You're awake." the male said.
"Good, good." he said further.

"Dr. Calder. Good to know." Lynne said with a nod before sighing.
"I'm... all right. Feel a bit lost though, but that could just be because of the fact that I woke up somewhere I hadn't fallen asleep at." She added.
"Beyond that, I feel a bit nauseos... but that could probably be because I need to eat. 'CAuse I'm famished."
"I see, I see." Rene replied.
"Well, if your biggest issue is that you're hungry, then I'd say you're recovering very nicely." he commented.
"Right, then." he went on.
"While I check your progress, what do you want to eat?" he asked her.
"Feel like having anything in specific?"

"I'm pretty open to anything." She answered, her welsh accent quite apparently.
"I'm really game for anything, I'm not a picky eater." She added before pausing a moment.
"Kinda couldn't be growing up."
"Oh?" Rene asked.
"I see." he said.
"Any reason why not?" he asked her, as he checked her vitals.
"If you don't care to share, I understand." he went on.
"But I AM curious." he then admitted.
"I see." he said.

"I had to eat what I was given... or I wouldn't eat." she added with a shrug. She wasn't ashamed or embarrassed by that any longer, and it wasn't hard to tell, either.
"But it's done wonders for my palete." She added with a laugh.
