"Oh. Well, all right then." Vincent replied.
"All that's left is for you to recover." he said.
"Seems your vacation's been extended some." he then chuckled.
"Regardless, I'm glad you're all right." he went on.
"And I'm glad things didn't turn out worse."

Lynne was silent for a moment before nodding.
"Yeah. So am I. This could have been far worse." She agreed with a light sigh. She knew that the accident could have ended up far worse than it did, and she was quite relieved it hadn't. It wasn't hard to see it on her face, either.
"I'm just relieved I'm not due back for anything in specific any time soon, either." She then commented.
"Yes, that IS a plus." Vincent agreed.
"At any rate, I am to understand that Rene will be bringing you some food." he said.
"If you don't mind, I'll visit you every day to keep you company." he offered.
"I have a lot of free time." he went on with a light chuckle.
"It'll be nothing for me to check up on you and such." he assured her.
"But that's only if it's all right with you."
"At any rate, I am to understand that Rene will be bringing you some food." he said.

When Vincent mentioned he would be willing to keep her company, Lynne just paused. She certainly hadn't expected that.
"I...are you sure?" She asked after a few seconds.
"I mean, if you want to, I woudn't deny the company, but please don't feel you have to. I'm nothing more than a visitor to this country after all."
Vincent just chuckled softly... warmly.
"I'm sure." he said.
"As you said, you're a visitor here." he told her.
"You should have a friend while stuck in the hospital." he reasoned.
"It's no picnic to be alone, after all." he added.
"But yes, at any rate, odds are I should go." he went on.
"Let you eat in peace, and get your rest." he continued.
"Even though you just woke up, you'll probably be... dopey and spacey... let's say, for a little while longer." he finished.
"I'm sure." he said.
"As you said, you're a visitor here." he told her.

Lynne was silent for a moment before sighing. She knew he was likely right.
"Oh probably." She ageed after a few seconds.
"Thank you for stopping by, though." She added wth a soft, sincere, smile.
"You're very welcome." Vincent replied.
"It's the least I can do." he said.
"Well, Lynne, I shall see you tomorrow." he told her.
"You rest up, and have a pleasant time here." he continued.
"As much as possible, at any rate." he then added.
With that, they said their goodbyes, and Vincent left... just as she smelled the aroma of pizza in the room.
"Good timing, it seems." Rene chuckled.
"It's the least I can do." he said.

Lynne sighed as Vincent left, before chuckling lightly.
"Certainly seems that way, yeah." She agreed after a moment or two.
"Smells like Hawaiin." She added after a moment.
Am I right or wrong?"
Rene smiled and nodded.
"It is." he said.
"It was the freshest the cafeteria had." he told her.
"I do hope that's all right." he went on.
"I realize that Hawaiin is a very... polarizing choice." he continued, as he stepped closer.
"By the way... I have a question, and forgive me for being so blunt." he then said further.
"Are you unable to see?" he asked her.
"It is." he said.
"It was the freshest the cafeteria had." he told her.
"I do hope that's all right." he went on.
"I realize that Hawaiin is a very... polarizing choice." he continued, as he stepped closer.

"Are you unable to see?" he asked her.
"Not an issue." Lynne said with a smile.
"I like Hawaiian." She added before pausing a moment.
"And no need to be blunt." She continued after a few seconds.
"Yes, I am blind." She told him honestly.
"We figured as much." Rene responded.
"I have a close friend that knows how you feel." he told her.
"He's... well, he's practically my cousin-in-law." he went on.
"He and my cousin are pretty much married, just haven't officially tied that knot." he said with a small shrug.
"He wasn't born blind, either." he then continued.
"Lost his sight in a horrific lab accident long ago."
"I have a close friend that knows how you feel." he told her.

"I was born blind." Lynne commented.
"For those that aren't though, I can't understand how people can move on from it. I've never known anything other things. To lose any sense unexp3ectedly would be horrendous, I think." She then said.
"I wouldn't know." Rene replied.
"But he managed." he said.
"Hell, he was even homeless at the time." he went on.
"But by Neptune's beard, he struggled on and survived." he added, before pausing.
And looking at her.
'Crap...' he cursed mentally.
'Slip of the tongue...' he rued, realizing he'd let slip a Lanthan phrase.
"But he managed." he said.

'Slip of the tongue...' he rued, realizing he'd let slip a Lanthan phrase.
Lynne just smirked lightly as Rene let the phrase slip.
"Haven't heard that for quite awhile." She commented.
"Only met one person in the past that used it." She added.
"Where'd you pick it up?"
'.....one person....?' Rene thought.
'Crap... hm....' he muttered mentally.
'Truth without details.' he then told himself.
"Something my parents always said." he told her.
"Not quite sure where THEY picked it up." he went on.
"Just... you know... stuck with me." he added, taking a small breath and letting it out slowly.

Lynne just chuckled lightly.
"I'm sure that's why I can hear how you're very delicate with how you talk, huh?" She asked after a moment, a light smirk on her face.
"I'm willing to bet you've some very very sharp teeth." she added
"........." Rene was silent as he heard that, and saw her smirk.
".....hm-hm." he mumbled.
"Perhaps I do." he said.
"You know quite a bit of the world, huh?" he then asked her.
"But you say you've met another that used that phrase?" he asked further, his tone a bit more hopeful now.
".....hm-hm." he mumbled.
"Perhaps I do." he said.
"You know quite a bit of the world, huh?" he then asked her.
"But you say you've met another that used that phrase?" he asked further, his tone a bit more hopeful now.
Lynne nodded.
"I did." She answered.
"It was before he suffocated... but I knew one other." She then said.
"He and I were close friends. For about three years before someone who wasn't very kind, to put it simply, caused him to death."
Rene just growled lowly when he heard that.
"Hrmph." he snorted.
"Because humans are xenophobic tiny-brained dry-skinned-" he snarled, before pausing and catching himself.
"Er... present company excluded." he said.
"And... well... others I know... and... oh, whatever." he sighed.
"If people knew what I was, they'd want my head on a pike." he went on.
"It's why I'm disguised to look human. For the most part."
"Hrmph." he snorted.

Lynne just shrugged.
"Hey. You do you." She stated, making it apparent that she wasn't going to judge him for anything he may have planned to do in the past, or perhaps the present. There was no way for her to know everything about him, after all. For the moment, she was hanging onto how he helped her, and how he seemed to be a rather nice man. Of course, she didn't know all the details, but that was enough for her to for the moment.
