"I...dunno..." he lay down. "The capital is just a days walk away so..."

He looked down.

"Im not sure im ready to go yet..."

He nodded and looked away.

"What if i find out he was a criminal? what if i find out he was just like mom?" he sighed.

"Yeah im scared...but...i know that no matter what i find out...it doesnt change who i am"

he smiled at ryker. He looked half asleep however

He nodded but then sat up.

He yawned, then shuffled to rykers bed.

He lay down right against ryker wrapping his tail around Rykers waist.

With that, he fell promptly to sleep.

Eke used to sleep like that because he had nightmares.

Now it was more of when he was unsure, or upset during the day.

It was the one place to sleep that would always give him comfort.

That night however, he didnt exactly sleep peacefully. At one point he was tossing and turning.

Around dawn he actually fell off the bed and he shot upright panting.

"I...i.." his throat and mouth was dry.

His hands were shaking and he was wide eyed. He looked the same as he did the first night after the frozen river incident, where he had dreamt he was drowning again.

He sat on the floor trying to catch his breath, and calm down.

He was also sweating. But he couldnt remember the dream he had just woken from.

He took the water and practially drank the whole thing.

After a bit, he calmed down. He closed his eyes and tried to calm his heart.

"I...i dont remember what i was dreaming about, only that i was afraid for my life..." he rubbed his eyes.

He was still tired, but he got up. He walked out to the little balcony and stared out across the city feeling the breeze on his face and in his hair.

What had he been dreaming about? What had scared him so bad? It felt like when he almost drowned 3 years ago.

He sighed unable to remember, which only frustrated him more.

"It feels important...or...at least important at the time..." he sighed.

He watched the sun come up. "Well...what should we do today?"

He stretched.

Ryker was right, best to try and forget it for now.

"No...i dont want to go into dragon country yet...." he looked away rubbing his arm.

"Lets...just go see the town..." and just like that he went downstairs.

The whole day eke seemed distant. He was nervous about the capital and bothered by his forgotten dream.

He didnt say much and he didnt eat as much as he normally did. He just seemed so distracted.

"Bro...its fine. Im not really hungry" he offered a smile.

"Spend the money on yourself for once" he pat rykers shoulder.

Eke had never turned down sweets. He was like a sugar hound.

"You always do for me. Do for yourself this time."

" 'm fine" he mutter.

"Just tired....woke up early..." The sun had begun to set.

He didnt even wait for ryker likenormal, he just went back to the room.

He had curled up onto his bed pulled his favorite jacket agianst him.
