What is it like having gallstones? I've never had them.

At least mine were.
Started as a case of sporadic, rare, pain every few months (3? 4? times a year, total) that was bad enough I couldn't breathe without it hurting.
Usually would last 5-8 hours each time too. So that was FUN.
Progressed to the point where I had those attacks nearly monthly. So I was basically told 'yeah, get it out'. Paraphrasing, of course.
So I had my gallbladder removed, haven't had an attack since. (... I'd be worried if I did! lol)
I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. DX

@Amber Lynne: I'm glad that you were able to get better! I have to remind myself that when people go to the dr it's not always because they are trying to escape death, it's because people are trying to get better.

But yeah. It could easily be a case of 'this needs to stop. HALP PLZ' or something as well.
Or just regular check ups.
Hell, I get bloodwork regularly because my b12 likes to die and dig its own bloody grave.
