Ayla paused, biting her lip for a moment before sighing, and accepting the tablet back.

It was Mistress' sister. She had control of Azari, and tortured me. Eventually my screams reached to be too unpleasant, and as a result I was silenced. She typed.

I do not know what she intended at the time, but I do know that what was done is irreversable. Mistress... was not too pleased, but in the end relished having a silent test subject. She continued.

It was then, that I realised how little that she cared for myself, even if she and my brother are lovers.

Ayla sighed as she accepted the tablet back.

After her failed escape with you. was all she wrote before passing it back. It was short, but it was all he needed to know.

His escape had caused Vanessa to abuse her sister in such a way that it made complete sense as to why she was hiding the dark elf aspect of her for so long.

Ayla didn't move for a few seconds before sighing.

I don't hate you for it. She typed before pausing.

I don't like what happened, of course, but it is better that it is me than someone else. At least I was able to survive and touch it out. she continued.

Ayla hyst nodded. She'd love to try something, and she was hungry. Then again, she wasn't eating too terribly much there, but that was primarily because she felt so awkward around others. She rarely left, felt like there were too many expectations on her, and even if there aren't, she was far more comfortable staying somewhere she thought she was safe.

Even if she wasn't, she felt she was, and that was what mattered to her for the moment.

... Asking is certainly not the easiest without skylar. Ayla thought with a light sigh.

There was a knock on the door. She wasn't entirely sure if her son was home, but she hoped he was. She'd learned of something that she thought he could, possibly, help with.

Or if not him, maybe his familiar.

She just smiled, her honey eyes sparkling slightly.

"Zeke, it's always lovely to see you." She greeted before looking wounded.

"But must a mother have a reason to come visit her baby?" She asked, her voice brimming with indignation. He knew he well enough though.

This was all for show.

She just brought a hand up and threw her head back, all melodramatic.

"Perhaps you should forgo the claim of being the son of I, Aimee LeBlanc!" She exclaimed with a laugh.

"Get a room you two." a teen said as she passed them, Aimee just laughed again, harder this time.

"Hello to you too Olivia." She said.

"Hey Aimee. And it's Liv. No one calls me Olivia." The teen said with a wave, before walking off, leaving the mother and son alone.

"Anyway, in all seriousness, I have a request for you." Aimee said with a sigh.

"It's a bit of a serious thing, as well."

"Nothing is wrong with your father and I, nor my brother or Lilim." Aimee assured her son.

"But I heard through Vincent that there is an elf that was brought into the Unit... a mute elf." She continued. "Apparently, he heard through Lindsay, that she has a familiar that has gone missing."

"An African Grey, specifically. I was wondering if you and Talon could keep an eye out for the bird? Apparently his name is Skylar."

"Merci beacoup." Aimee said, gratitude in her voice.

"I really do aprpeciate this." She added.

"I'm just spreading the word around, asking anyone and everything. Even your father is looking, but at the same time familiars aren't truly his domain." She added.

"He actually suggested you might have better luck, as you're half human and you have a familiar of your own."
