I'm no good at picking out lighting flaws in others' work either. xD
But yes, much studying I have to do!

Sometimes I just wanna do flats, but those look so boring for me. Others can pull it off real well, but not meee.

The theory makes sense!
I've never been good with shading or highlighting in art though. I understand picking the source of light and all, but then it never quite translates right from my brain to the media. -n-

Thank you! I think my main challenge will be learning how to contour. I get the concept, but DOING IT is another story.
lol gotta do what you gotta do! I never used DA much, but every now and there I'll wander on there for tutorials and such.

Last weekend I was watching makeup tutorials because I've been wanting to get more into makeup. And I totes bought a bunch after that and am just kinda learning as I go.

YES! Like I have no problem saving up for something I want, but if I don't know what I want to begin with...nyeeeh!!
Also I'm dumb and don't know what specs mean or which are ideal. All I know is if it works, it works lol.

I think what I'd like to do is go to Best Buy or something and just test the different ones out.
I feel like there aren't enough stores here with do-dads like that, or if they do have them, they don't have them available to do a test run. :L

I gotta do my research first, but the thought is definitely tempting! I feel like I need a thinner pen anyway--the one I have has always felt too thick.

And lucky for me I don't game on computers, so I'd primarily use the laptop for art I think. xD

Hachisuka: I'll probably try again later. I'd really like to get back into drawing! Not that I did it a ton back in the day, but now I feel so inspired by everything I see that it feels like it's time to get back into it.

leah: Same!! I just have the Bamboo Pen & Touch, but I'm thinking about just looking into one of those laptops where the tablet is built in and comes with a pen.
