So the world our game is based in, the world is filled with people called Resonators. They basically living versions of fairy tale/literary characters. The world forces them to live the tale out no matter the conclusion. And once a tale comes to an end, the Resonator pretty much dies. Two of our favorite npcs are coming to the end of their stories while we're in another country. So one of us chose to go back to them, and be with them when their end comes. While the rest of us stay to keep more of a war from breaking out.
