[ Ahh. That title tells me that it's not in my wheelhouse. ]

[ Curious, what were you going to recommend to me? ]

Posted in The sanctuary Posted 5 years ago

[ Not really. My favorite horror novel is The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, which is about 'ghost hunters' staying at a famously haunted house. It's written in such a way that you don't know if the ghosts are real, or if they're in the head out of our mentally ill protagonist. The book very loosely inspired the Netflix of the same name. Their next season will be inspired by Turn of the Screw, so I have to actually finish that book.]

[ Good. Now what to read next. ]

[ :3 I do recommend reading it. Lmao after I finished reading it, I went on a hunt for the films mentioned in it. Some of them are on Youtube in their entirety. Which makes sense, because they'd all be in the public domain by now. ]

[ Oh well I guess. Was still interesting to read about. ]

[ Well yeah, but I think the mystery would still be pretty cool to watch. I mean. They did the Black Dahlia murder. ]

[ Same. Historical scandals and murder are just fascinating. Surprisingly this case has not spawned a film. o.o Which is really surprising, because it would be a pretty interesting movie. Even though Hollywood would definitely put a lot of fictional spin on it. ]

[ Tinseltown by William J Mann, it's a look at the murder of a famous 1920s film director named William Desmond Taylor. The case has never been solved, and this book is from the point of view of someone's theories on the case. And how far early Hollywood execs would go to cover up scandal. Even to the point of forever concealing who the murderer was. They stole important documents from the victim's home before the police could see them. ]

[ Yesh. I've been on a silent film binge recently, and just finished a book about an early Hollywood murder scandal. XD ]

[ I love goth stuff, but I adore period inspired outfits. Victorian, rockabilly, flapper, ect. ]

[ My avatar is my fursona dressed up in my pansexual pride colours. >w< While I've been looking at pretty 1920s inspired goths, I decided that I want to commission someone to draw her as a 1920s flapper. ]

[ Apparently I only need 16-15 more posts for 20k. It'll take me all day to get that probably. Lol since I keep getting distracted by like video games, looking flapper versions of goths, modding my furry chat. Just everything. All at once. ]

[ Lol I keep getting distracted by like a million different things. ]
