I used to live in California before moving overseas and I remember the bay area climate being a huge issue for my dry skin. I had to deal with peeling, chafing skin a lot, as well as itchiness. I'm in a more humid environment now which brings other skin issues for me but my skin isn't as dry except in winters.

How's everyone today/this evening? I'm continuing breaking in a pair of doc martens I bought weeks ago since I haven't had much opportunity to wear them out and about due to the heat, but hopefully they'll be ready and comfy by fall... I have so many outfits that would go well with them.

@Totalanimefan: Right!!! SPF is so important. I used to avoid it a lot when I was a kid because it was an icky sensory experience for me, but now I know better and bought something smoother I'd be comfortable using regularly. Trying to build up a habit of applying it whenever I go out. My skin is also fairly dry but I live in a very humid climate so I just occasionally need more intensive skincare in the drier winters.

@Totalanimefan: So far mine is pretty simple!! I actually tried to mimic the multistep Korean style routines a few years back but I didn't have enough products or time to do it exactly as expected. And recently I realized my skin gets fussy and red if I put too many products on it lol...
Right now I just cleanse and use a sheet mask, I usually use hydrating/moisturizing ones with stuff like hyaluronic acid or squalane... sometimes I use a toner or skin conditioner between cleansing and the mask, for extra hydration and some exfoliation. On days I don't do the mask, I cleanse, tone, and apply a lotion or cream. I do wanna introduce more products to my skin but I need to do more research first to make sure I don't freak it out

It is almost 10 am where I am!!

I'm doing alright! I mostly just woke up, it's morning in my timezone. I wanna try posting some and then maybe I'll doodle a bit. I've gotten into a skincare routine lately so I'm gonna do that too.

How're yall? OwO

I forget to come on here for months at a time whoopssss... I'm not great at being social. I'm so late to this event.
Did the event get extended or something? I've been inactive and probably only caught the tail end of this event but I saw I did earn a dust bunny earlier 0:

The title/theme of this hangout really caught my eye as someone who enjoyed reading the PJO/HOO series in middle and high school!! I also fiinished the Trials of Apollo a few months ago. Haven't read the Kane Chronicles but I've read Magnus Chase. I would say that while Nico di Angelo is my favorite character, I have really fixated on being a child of Hecate. I love magic and the potential to manipulate the Mist and it's overall just really thematic to my interest in goth and witchy aesthetics and interests too. ^w^

sometimes i have trouble figuring out if i want to eat a snack or take a nap. very different things i know. maybe i will lay down and come back and try to post more in the evening. odd timezone woes include just having more excuses to avoid people since they're not online when i am anyway...ooops... ^^;;;

as much as i wish i was the social kind of chatterbox i am more like a person that rambles on and on and goes on many tangents when telling stories and is either too fast or too slow with ongoing topics x_x
