Eke just hugged him and smiled.

"Its okay now. We wont let anyone hurt you anymore" he said softly.

"From now on you are our friend and we keep our friends safe" he ad and sat there, listening to the crickets.

Seemed the world remembereed he was supposed to be sick and he began coughing hard.

"Mhm!" he said proudly.

"Ryker's not a normal guy. Heck i met him under really weird circumstances and almost died then too! Now hes basically my brother!" he said ruffling Savra's hair.

"You didnt hurt me on purpose so...why shouldnt we bring you along?"

"Well, we are on a trip at the moment" he said and pulled them into a hug

"And you are coming with us" he said smiling.

"Itll be fun!"

Eke looked down the the roof below him hugging his kknees.

"Yeah it isnt fair...it runs in my family...just the men...and...just...my family..." he said with a sigh

"My dad died before i was born." he added.

But then he put on a smile.

"But thats why i want to help people. Just because i cant be helped or saved doesnt mean others cant" he said proudly

"Well im kinda...i think i have a fever and im kinda sick and im sore, but ill be fine!" he said still smiling

"But thats not all your fault" he said

"I...have a terminal condition so it makes me pretty sickly" he added.

"So dont worry. Whatever you put on my back, i feel fine, just sore"

Eke grinned and showed off his shark like teeth.

"Oh thatts so neat!!" he said.

"Im a dragon!" he said really in awe of another mythical being

He smiled and put a hand on Savra's shoulder.

"With us youll be safe" he said.

"So can i ask what you are?" he asked loking at Savra for defining features

"Because you needed help" hesaid smiling brightly, his shark like teeth glinting in the light.

"It was the right thing to do" he added and put a hand on their shoulder.

"What happened to make you so scared?" he asked now concerned.

He had to pause a few times to cough into his arm.

Eke exhaleed in relief and stubbornly climbed up.

He sat next to Savra and smiled

"Hey there. how are you?" he asked turning his head to cough into his elbow.

"Are you alright after all that? You seemed realy scared"

Eke got up and walked out looking for Savra.

He got outside and shivered a bit.

"Savra...?"

"Wheres...Savra...?" he asked.

He was sore, stiff, but his back seemed okay.

He felt very worn out, and like he was on fire, taking off his coat

When Eke woke up, he was in the RV.

His felt his cheeks burn with fever and his head swim with fog.

"Ryker...?" he called softly slowly sitting up.

He bonked his head on the top bunk again and cried out.

"Ryker?" he called again

"Savra...were going to make sure you are safe...okay?" he said trying to get up.

Eke was in a good deal of pain despite the salve.

"Im okay...just a little..." he didnt finish his sentence before he collapsed.

The injury mixed with pushing himself so hard, it was honestly a miracle he was even alive

The frail draogn boy slowly sat up.

"Dont be sorry. It was an accident..." he said

He winced and coughed.

And he began to shiver, which gave him flashbacks of the frozen river.

"W...whats your name?" he asked trying to keep himself distracted
