ughhh I just came home (from going downstairs to the convenience store finally) and it's always so annoying because the cats run out every time I come back

I'm looking at more hot and sour soup recipes now ;o;

maybe I'll get the other stuff I need to make some this week

I didn't even bother using chicken stock fff could improve

and I didn't even follow the exact vegetables that should be in it |D but stillll it was the taste I was after

having the wood ears and the tofu really sold it for me haha

it's not bad! just slice up the vegetables into the strips (or chunk them if you don't care about ~presentation~ lol)

the only part I messed up the first time was adding the starch to make it gloopy xD

it just needs the vinegar, white pepper, soy sauce (maybe just for color, I think that's what the original recipe said lol), and sesame oillll

good thing is if you make your own you can adjust that hot/sour ratio haha

I dunnoooo it must be??? idk what Koreans do with garlic
but I just see packets full of peeled garlic at the store near me

to be fair I haven't gone to a BIG supermarket in a long time. maybe they have regular garlic there


I have gotten garlic a few times when I was craving garlic chicken soup but the rest always spoiled. rip garlic

I pass by this restaurant on the way to work that always smells of garlic pasta or SOMETHING and I'm always ;o;

sameee I was really craving it one day
and I decided I could do it since it's pretty simple

so I printed out a recipe and followed it pretty closely the first time
but after that I'd just throw in vinegar and white pepper at will xD

I can't find garlic that isn't already peeled here, so I never buy it because it goes bad so quickly fff
