@Maxisconfused: Let me know if/when you want to explore the cave. I can work on my mystery game skills with it. If so, any input on what rewards Chase would like at the end?

@MaxIsConfused: With a wicked grin, Della nodded her head to his theory about it being an eldrich. "Yes, well, I actually have a very good friend who runs the tour of the cave! Their name is Blair, and you can find them at the cabin just ahead of the cave. Head out east, towards the forest and mountains. You'll see signs for Elrand's Illustrious Cave. They know so, so much about the founder Elrandriss and the cave's lore. Afterall, we did start out as a ice and iron export town in the beginnings! So much ice cream, as well, since only 15 miles out of town are some great pastures." Della pondered on Chase's question for a name. Should she just choose one? It had several names by this point, and deciding it was safer to share them all. "Loaded question you've got there Chase, but, well, I do recall several names for this beast. The beast, Big Hand, um, Solvich or Sa'arak? Frozen Hind, and the silliest of the names, in my humble opinion, Elrand's Illussion. It's considered the greatest scam of all time by some local theorists." Grey eyebrows bounced up and down with a playful grin as she relayed the last tidbit. "Welcome to town, Chase."

Omg I didn't notice I got replies on this

@blue: I've been recommended Heavyweight before! The other two are new to me completely. The Moth sounds like something a friend of mine has probably heard, haha. Also Small Town Murder sounds like... Quite the spin on talking about true crime. Deffo interested, and hunting that one down now. Thanks for sharing!!

@Spider: I'm about to start The Magnus Archives!! Super excited to get started. :D

Gloom ended up having a meh ending. Haven't finished Unwell yet, but I'm getting there. I'm also working through Victoriocity which is a steampunk Victorian London setting. I like to think it's the precursor to the game Frostpunk haha. A murder mystery type of story!

You're Dead to Me is getting another renewal, and is a podcast about a reporter, a comedian, and a historian covering a small section of history. Aiming to bring light to lesser studied parts. Really fun! I'm looking forward to season 6. :)

How many times would you say you've been to a doctor in your lifetime?
Ummm... Less than 75 maybe? Heavily guestimating here, but I stopped doing yearly check ups around 14. But also depends on what kind. If we are including mental health and dentists... More?

Do you have a hard time remembering names?
Yes and no. I've started to have a harder time. I also get voices mixed up and confused.

What was the last funny thing you've seen online?
Kay, so it's of this living room. There's someone chilling on the couch, the person filming, and they've got a coffee table just ahead and lots of open space in their living room. Then we see a dog, with a sandal, flopping about happily. The dog circles the living room, circles the coffee table, then stops as they make eye contact with human. Realizing human is present. Omg. The dog looks mortified. So good.

Posted in Learning digital art Posted 2 years ago

Similarly to @ENA: I've been drawing since my formative years, v young. I started digital art with a mouse back when I was like... 9 or 10, and got a wacom bamboo tablet when I was 13. I can heartily recommend those if they're still made. I got a second when I was 15, 16 or so and have had it since. That's over a decade ago lol. Still going strong and pcs still download the adapters on plug-in. Huion's are also good budget tablets.

Anywho, I recommend focusing on aspects of drawing in chunks. Anatomy, perspective, color theory, backgrounds, objects, animals, etc. They're all chunks that require dedicated learning time separate. So maybe do a week's challenge to start, then a month.

Head portraits, body parts, just a tree, tree and a river and waterfall, etc. Those are all building blocks.

Some great yters are Sycra, and Will Terrell.

I hope this helps, and welcome to the digi doodle world! Oh and if there's still games like iScribble (social and collaborative art doodle rooms): I recommend those too.
