Oh man :-( I had a severe back injury that affected me all last year.
I couldn't walk, let alone work, and a blew through all my savings trying to cover bills.
On top of that, the car that I was trying to sell (since I couldn't drive) got hit.
It sucked. But somehow, miraculously, I'm back on my feet working and slowly started saving again.
My depression has been getting better since my back has been healing.
It's such a slow, painful, and lonely process. But part of me barely even remembers how effed up I felt back then.
Well, I mean I do. But it's becoming more and more faint as I get healthier.
This is so cliché but I just wanted to say that I (a little bit) know how you feel, and eventually things will get better.
I'm sorry you're going through it though. It sucks to be right in the middle of it.

@wildfire: Oh boy, I'm not that old yet! Feel like I'm getting there though.
I'm getting nervous with all this crypto currency, like I'm gonna get left behind like my
grandparents with their debit cards. Pretty sure they still write checks at the grocery store smh.

@wildfire: Oof! I say this at the risk of sounding like an old fart, but times really have changed, haven't they?
And I really can't tell if time's moving too slow or too fast. It somehow feels like both, lol.
My partner's from a little town in Indiana, and he heard from his family that there's new
development all around there, too. In buttf*ck Indiana of all places! Sheesh, no where is safe these days.
Pretty soon Antarctica is going to have it's own track homes gated community and Trader Joe's, lol.

@wildfire: That's so accurate I could cry. I used to love driving -- listening to music by myself and relieving stress.
But it's so damn chaotic now. I'm always pissed at someone, or nervous someone's gonna get hit.
Not just the highway, but the sidestreets too. I live in a pretty touristy beach town with narrow roads and
very little parking. I've noticed the traffic and the general *vibe* while driving has gotten so much worse
over the years.
Places like California, Florida, and I've heard parts of Texas and Colorado, are just getting so congested and overwhelmed.
It's giving me a headache just thinking about it, lol.

Good grief, I've been thinking about the issues of driving a lot lately.
How tired I am of driving on the highway to and from work everyday.
I see accidents almost happen at least once a day. California reeeeally needs a good public transit system.
