@Queen of Trash: one of the great things about rats is that they are smart enough to go to the bathroom NOT in the middle of a play area. So many animals just don’t care or aren’t smart enough to think about it. Rats are just cleaner that other animals.

@Llama: that’s a great name!
And he continues to have a blue belly so it works.

Although I guess i could make the belly get lighter or darker as they age...

My brother has turned his guest room into a ferret room. It took him a while to get the whole room ferret safe, it’s basically just covered in a tarp. But it’s nice they have a lot of room to run around and play.

@Llama: congrats!!

@Llama: I have social anxiety, but no one pays any attention to you if you have a laptop and headphones.
Sometimes people ask me what I’m doing because I have a drawing pen and stuff, but it’s rare and I can always pretend I don’t hear them.

@Llama: I seriously don’t do anything unless I force myself to.
That’s why I go to the cafe, it helps motivate me!

@Queen of Trash: do they have good personalities?
Around here pet stores only carry female pet rats, male rats are all feeder rats. (Bred for feeding to snakes) so they aren’t born into a pet environment and tend to be aggressive.

Do you train your rats at all?
My sister always had hers litter trained so they could wander the house without worry about them needing to pee or anything. But I don’t know if that’s normal or if she’s just intense. XD

@Llama: it does take a lot of practice!
I also watch videos or streams of people drawing sometimes and it can help me pick up tips.

I’ve only ever had female rats.

I have a Bamboo Fun drawing tablet

The fact that common items are also sought after at all is a testimony to how great the artists are!

I got a specialty drawing program from Japan that has the smoothest lines!
It’s called PaintTool SAI and it’s my life now! :3
