A Fuzzle is a a fuzzy slithery evolving creature.
Eggs cost 50v, and can be mystery or custom.
You can either pay volts to level your Fuzzle, or post in this thread (or Fuzzlehahen) to level it free!
Stage 1: 15 posts or 50 volts
Stage 2: (tummy color appears) 25 posts or 50 volts
Stage 3: (patterns appear) 35 posts or 50 volts
Stage 4: (full grown, can now wear accessories) 50 posts or 50 volts

@ephenay: Voltra has had such a positive impact on me too.
It's such a wonderful community!
I've been on a million avatar websites over the years.
Gaia, Ernya, Syndrone, Solia, Caedon... at least 3 small ones that never really took off.
I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting.
