@Amber Lynne: my sister is.....the least "mother"-y person I know lmao she's very much a "why must these children follow me around" person haha so she doesn't care that I don't like spending much time around her kids; the excuses are more for the kids than anything, tho my nephews (the two youngest) don't care as much as my nieces, who are the older 2 and therefore more tolerable to be around now hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

He got the feeling that he was going to be confused about a lot of things his new friend said. Maybe she had an older sibling she didn’t get along with? His cousins were always fighting…Albert supposed that if he had siblings he might not want his house to be like his father either.
“Well, I’m sure you’ll get in whichever house you want! I don’t think they can force you to go somewhere you really, really don’t want to be.” Albert laughed nervously, hoping it didn’t sound forced. Why was talking to new people so hard?

Zak hummed as he walked, though inside he was wincing at the grip she had on his neck. So maybe picking her up hadn’t been the best idea…It was still amusing, though. Even it she was currently trying to imitate an octopus.
The ground was eaten up by his long stride, and in a few steps they had reached the shore. He let go of the princess unceremoniously, bending over slightly as he dropped her feet in case she didn’t let go of his neck quickly enough. He had no desire to be ‘accidentally’ chocked and pulled to his sandy doom.
”We’re here, Highness.”
