I got into reading for a little bit cuz my girlfriend liked to read before bed for a while.
I made a list of fantasy authors I wanted to read eventually.
Then we both stopped reading before bed cuz she got a tablet and started reading any other time other than bedtime.

@Eldweena: I just disregard when people are nearby in public. If they hear my weird out of context conversations, all the better because I think it's funny.
And I just operate under the assumption that nobody cares enough to listen in on my shitty conversations.

Don't stand next to someone at the urinals.

@Shark: It's been raining for the past three days where I am.

@rolly joger: Are you talking about playing dumb as in yourself? Or playing dumb as in your character?
And I mean like, do you wanna play a strong warrior who hits things?
A sneaky type person?
A studious magic user?

Do you wanna be really good at fighting, or stick to being better at stuff outside of combat? (totally a viable play style)

Like, I have another character I'm gonna play soon that isn't gonna do much damage in combat directly, but they're going to do a lot of stuff to make enemies easier to kill, or do less damage to my allies.
And outside of combat they're going to be a social manipulator.
Seducing people for info or favors, and whatnot.

@rolly joger: What do you mean?
Oh, and I'm playing 5th edition DnD by the way.
I'd recommend it to new players over any of the other editions.
It's really newbie friendly because a lot of things were made simpler compared to past editions.

What kind of play style do you think you'd like?
Posted in Party tiiime Posted 6 years ago
@rolly joger: Yeah, the playstyle is based around the character concept.
I've been having a harder time with a my Wednesday game night character.
He was originally a barbarian but I wasn't really enjoying how it played, so the DM allowed me to change him into a monk after a period of downtime in game.
I had been playing him as being pretty religious, so it worked out that he became a monk of his god, and soon I'm gonna multiclass him into cleric too.

@rolly joger: Yeah we've been playing this campaign for about two months. Weekly Monday night sessions.
The character is based a bit on myself actually.
A friend once joked about having 'cabinet goblins' because she realized she would often leave her cabinets open.
And I said 'Yeah we have those too' because I do the same thing.
It lead to me coming up with my 'Cabinet Goblin' name by smashing my real name together.
So my cabinet goblin is named "Daja" Tyse. (Daja being a title or nickname. A goblin-esque way of saying 'dodger')
He's a bit cowardly but he likes to think that's just him being tactical. He often hides, and slinks around the battlefield so he can attack from a hidden position with his suppressed carbine rifle.

@rolly joger: My game for tonight is DnD set in a sci-fi world. I'm playing as goblin who is a magical thief. He's not in it for valuables though. He just likes to rummage through other people's stuff for things he finds 'interesting.'

@rolly joger: If you're not able to find a face to face game, you could always try playing online.
The only problem is that it can be really hit or miss on finding a good group.
Posted in Party tiiime Posted 6 years ago
@rolly joger: I'm okay. Gonna play DnD tonight.
