> one app i've downloaded is HelloTalk; it actually allows you to do a "language exchange" with people who speak the language you want to learn who also want to learn the language you speak. it's incredibly helpful and allows you to make friends across language barriers. it's truly been an amazing experience for me!

> funny i stumble on this thread of all things; i was as well a musical theatre kid in high school but never actually enjoyed musicals until very recently. right now i am just obsessed with Come From Away. it's so heart-wrenching and well done, and definitely restores some of one's confidence in the goodness and kindness of other people
