Least favorite thing:
Drama. When staff drama occurs it can kill the site, and drama between users just makes me feel uncomfortable and can reveal cliques. I still remember on one site a user made a feedback thread with a suggestion. Some other users replied explaining why they didn't like the idea. They didn't say anything about the OP at all and were just stating their opinions on the idea, but suddenly the OP's friends appeared and started acting like the other users were ganging up on their friend and the OP started acting like a victim. The other people were also trying to explain that them disagreeing with the idea was not a personal attack on the OP but the OP and their friends just refused to listen and insisted the OP was being bullied. It was one of the strangest drama incidents I remember on an avi site, and I was always wary of the OP and their clique after that

And since layering was mentioned, sites where you could move items to whatever layer you wanted were fun

For favorite things:
-It was always nice when an avatar site had a dream avi maker
-Marketplaces on bigger avi sites are nice
-I liked Ernya events where you could find currency under avatars when lurking
-Basic stuff like making avis, posting, and events are always fun of course
-I liked the bug hunting on Crysandrea and Sapherna
-The dye system on Terrasus and Syndrone was great

I joined a lot of avatar sites, but the ones I was active on for any amount of time were Gaia(found from a friend on RuneScape), Solia(for a bit before I found Ernya), Ernya, Roliana(for a bit), Trisphee, MyRufflesRPGWorld(it was a less active site with monkey avatars), Terrasus(didn't end well from what I remember), KofK, Syndrone, Crysandrea, and Sapherna

I wasn't active when it closed, so I'm not sure entirely. I just know bits and pieces that I've heard

Ernya was my favorite avatar site for a good while. I think it was the third one I found after Gaia and Solia, and I left both of those for the most part to focus on Ernya

AFK status would be nice. I was on another forum that had that option

@Alicethemadhatter: I checked your list, but I don't really need any of those items. I already have all of them, and they're not items that I need extras of, sorry!

Oh, now I get what you mean. Sometimes it has a number of friends I have online though, and I'm sure I've seen those people it shows online make threads, and I don't think I've gotten notifications for those either

Like I wouldn't mind seeing theirs which is what I thought it was, but I guess I don't necessarily want them to get a notification if I make a thread

Oh, I thought the notification was for seeing that a friend made a thread, not for them seeing that you made a thread. I misunderstood

I don't see how seeing that a friend has made a new thread is contradictory to having your status offline at least

That's interesting. I wonder why you can't get notifications for that if your status is set to offline

I've never gotten a notification like that, and I also keep my online status hidden
